Easy install
I have several SI dust covers, however, this one was just as easy to install. It has a more OE look, and feels a bit stronger. I have this on an AR build for several years, no issues.

Used Strike Industries before but this is a nice cheap alternative. No fancy designs just a good slick cover that can be removed easily. I think it was half the weight of milspec… if your into that

Works Perfectly on my PSA AR-15
It is a little difficult to install because removing the original from the lower is difficult without scratching the lower, but as soon as you have the original out, it is super easy and it looks very attractive, beautifying the rifle. I highly recommend it

I took a big chance buying this quick connect dust cover. I was really curious how it would compare to Strike Industries quick connect dust cover.

get your dremel ready !!!
I saved $2.50 buying this instead of the spikes tactical version and was filled with regret after spending 30 minutes with a Dremel trying to Clarence it to work on my areo precision stripped forged. I had read previous reviews that said it worked with a mill spec Upper and figured since I was not ordering an M4 E1 Upper I would be fine. I had to remove material of the inside of the dust cover in order to allow clearance to operate correctly.

Cool, but does it work?
I'm trying to use this on my full polymer build. It looks good, it installs good, and it closes good, but it does not open with the bolt opening. I think this is a problem related to using it on a polymer upper. Maybe it will function well on a mil-spec upper.

Horrible design not worth 50 cents
I cant believe this is even being sold on websites. The Manufacturer is basically ripping people off and should pull the product ASAP. I Didn't even bother sending it back because the shipping cost wouldn't be worth it.

very poorly made
I spent twenty mins trying to install this just to realize the spring isn’t powerful enough to hold the rod in place it just keeps popping off. Idk if mine is just defective I know strike industries has one similar and people seem to like it

Very poor fit
The UTG is a poorly designed dust cover. The plastic end didn’t fit into the receiver at first and the other end is metal and did fit but really snug. I shaved some off the plastic end to get it to fit and after figuring out I had to play with the spring to get the metal end to depress I got it in. But then it wouldn’t close properly. Plus when you tried to flip it down it needed assistance. Spend the extra money on the Strike Industries Enhanced cover.
