Leapers scope
All in all not a bad product...the low power setting has a little distortion around the outside...but not bad.
As always, the transaction, packing, and the whole nine yards from Optics Planet was great.

Not what it's cracked up to be....
Wanted to love this scope so bad. A 2x16x44 with etched reticle should cover all the bases from close to far and be the ideal all purpose scope. Unfortunately some things are too good to be true. The field of view is great on this 2 power and did love the multicolor illumination. Problem is the glas...

4.5 to 4.7 stars, much imoroved glass etched reticle
I have owned a range of scopes and including early UTG to their current illuminated etched glass reticles.
The glass etched reticle is fine, glass is clear, nice "eye box" not hard even with someone with keratoconus (strong astigmatism).
Newer retciles from UTG use better LED and smaller illuminated pattern on SFP reticle. This means in low light use less "reflective scope wash". Early UTG reticle used to reflect back.
These are much more useable with a red/green picatinny mounted laser on your foreguard of the rifle.
Anyway, i find this to be whay it advertises 2x is good for close range, when sighted + paired with a laser. And useful to ding targets 100, 200yds.
Try the UTG "air integrated" mounts with these scopes. I run two these side by side on AR-10/AR-15 next to Vortex and other pricier option. Caliber and zero and turrets are fine. I wish they would offer a "capped turret option" but the twist locking tactical turrets work fine.
Just about All glass etched UTG, in last 2-3 years are good product. I also run their 1-8x LVPO thats a great home defense optic on pencil barrell AR, light.
But yeah
