Latch handle rescue.
After mounting an optic to my AR, it became laborious to use the charging handle as it was somewhat blocked. The UTG Model 4/AR15 Extended Tactical Charging Handle Latch solved all my issues. Now I have an easy to grab latch and I can use one finger or the side of my hand.

Fitment issues. There are better option at the same price out there for CH latches.
After a little tinkering around I got it to work with my DS Arms CH. The latch itself would not open up enough to unlock the charging handle after it was properly installed. It is not recommended to buy it.
It took me an hour to polish it before it can be installed. People with poor hands-on ability still don't recommend buying it.

The extension is well made and is easy to install. It made reaching the charge handle much more accessible.

Fit right in. Easy swap out. Tap the pin out 3/4 of the way take out the old catch. Watch out for the spring. Push the new one in and tap the pin back in.

Saved my finger
This extension latch was a godsend. My scope cause a little difficulty pulling the charging handle. This extension made all the difference. Now its an easy pull. Showed it to my friend who is adding to his rifles. Highly recommended.

I wish this would've come with a replacement spring and roll pin. Mine took off to worlds unknown when I drove it out.

precision fit after a short struggle with the ar roll pin. yeah its an ar gripe of mine, too many small pins and springs!

Best bang-for-buck charging handle improvement for scoped ARs
It seems that you can spend as much as you want to for an AR charging handle. This extended latch resolves the accessibility problem that you can get mounting a scope on an AR. Knock the pin out of a GI charging handling (don't let the spring fly), remove the latch and install this one in its place. Now you can conveniently charge the action by hooking this extended lever on one side.

- Easy to install
- Inexpensive
- Improved ergonomics

- Not the best finish

Almost anything is better than the standard charging handle. However this one is just bigger than I thought it would be maybe too big other than that it works fine.
