The only tailhook mod 1 buffer tube to use
This tube works so well with the railroad MOD 1 that all other tubes are interior. This tube automatically indexes the tailhook correctly and keeps it there with a pin and machined shoulder. This is the only choice that makes sense now that it's available.

Since I had a spare tail hook brace I ordered this buffer tube and it works great. The tail hook mounted with ease and the length of pull on it is just enough.

Fits with tailhook
Perfect fit for the tail hook. Seems like high quality. Gives a good length of pull. A little bit of machine work allows the tail hook to orient itself correctly and not spin. Probably want to order an extra “lost parts” kit for the install...or pay really close attention to the takedown detent/spring and buffer retainer/spring. Those things shoot off into the unknown during disassembly it’s you’re not careful.

Big & tall
Worked great with my brace , I'm long armed and this tube brought the brace back far enough so that the brace works best . I have bought many parts and accessories here and always have had great success, from hunting to fishing. Seems I shop all over and end up here .

Good buffer tube
Gives you a little extra length. Don't have a tailhook on it yet, but works just fine as you'd imagine with an eight inch pad. Would highly recommend to anyone building an AR Pistol that has a longer than average wing span

Good product
Nice tube to use in conjunction with the gear head tailhook pistol brace. I was back and forth between this buffer tube and the sabertube - ended up choosing this one due to the type of aluminum used and the longer length. Decently priced as well. Black coating finish on the tube seems a bit light, mine came with some rubbing and exposed aluminum on one side. Nothing major but leapers could improve this. Overall happy with my purchase. Thanks.
