UTG slim handguard
I bought one of these for an SBR build years ago; I wanted a handguard that was slimmer than OE but not clunky like some handguards/quadrails are. I had an earlier UTG quad-rail at the time but had sold it with a previous rifle so I decided to try this one out based on the slimmer dimensions. When I got it installed, I was pretty surprised by the feel and look; it's the diameter of the front handguard cap. I liked it so much that I had it cerakoted locally to color-match the build I had.
It's narrower than many of the 2-piece handguards out there although there are slimmer (usually the slimmest are free-floating). I added a rail piece at the 6 o'clock position and added a Streamlight TLR-1 for a weapon light, but there are mounting points for rail pieces at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. I've had it since 2017 and am still running it.

Lots of mounting option and is built tough. Lightweight but durable. Will definitely buy more for my other builds.

After market handguard.
It's metal not plastic. Quit touching the hand Like an oversized corn cob. I'm not house broken yet, but I do not like to hang ten pounds of furniture on the barrel.

UTG Pro super slim carbine handguard
Highly recommend. This is a very nice upgrade from the original plastic handguards and I prefer it over full quad rails. It did require me to purchase additional modulat rail sections for a custom installation. But when I paired it with my Knights Armament Company (KAC) accessories. The result was just what I wanted. A civilian version of a military RIS M4 Carbine.
Pros:
- KAC RIS style drop in habdguard at a fraction of the cost.
Cons:
- Required the purchase od additional rail sections for my application
Best Used for:
- AR15

Very good handguard!
I needed a new handguard for my 7.62x39 AR. I was able to easily install this and I am very pleased with how it looks! I didn't use the included rails, but I appreciate that I can install them in the future if I wish. I recommend this product highly.
Pros:
- Easy to install
Cons:
- None

Nice for the money!
This fit great on my windham weaponry carbine rifle. One of the other reviewers said it didn't fit his Windham weaponry carbine, but it fits mine great! I like the feel and grip it provides for my hand! I don't regret buying this at all. I bought this knowing i may not use picatinny rails that is provided with it.

good value
fit my Ruger 556 , had to remove my vortex red dot sight to set the upper half in place because of the top rail on hand guard extended under red dot , no big deal will take it out and see if I have to re sight it in . The handguard halves fit tight onto the barrel and in front of the delta ring and locking into the barrel nut slots ,took a little time to get things to fit just had to take my time , the hand guard fit was very good . installing the screws was easy all the bolt holes lined up perfectly no problems screwing them it . once all 4 screws were tight the hand guard was good and solid felt no movement at all , instructions said may have to turn barrel nut to align top pic rail with receiver, pic rail between receiver and pic rail on top of hand guard was very minor really couldn't see it unless I starred at it and ran my finger across where the rails meet on the sides may be off 1/32 of an inch or less not going to mount anything on the between the top rails so I couldn't see messing around tweaking the barrel nut for that small amount , I don't believe it was the way the hand guard was made causing the slight miss alignment. I am still going to rate the hand guards a 10 out of 10 feels much better than the original Ruger m 4 style and now I can mount what I want on it
Pros:
- fit and feel good

- None

Perfect Fit
I love my new UTG Pro AR Carbine Length Super Slim drop-in handguard. (MTU001SS) Fits perfectly on my S&W MP15 Sport II and the rail extension lines right up with the existing rail. Gave me the ability to add a forward mounted tactical light/laser combo on the front side rail for convenient accessibility. Comes with 4 extra rail extensions (2 short/2 longer) so you can pretty much do whatever you want in terms of adding accessories to your AR. The lightweight aluminum design is a definite improvement over the cheap plastic OEM stock guard and the super slim design is perfect for someone with smaller hands. Very pleased and would highly recommend. Note for anyone wanting to extend the rail out further, they have another model (MTU015SS) which extends the rail to the end of your barrel and you don't even have to remove the front A2 Post sight or sling mount which comes on the M&P Sport II. Very well designed and MADE IN THE USA !!! For the record I also have a UTG Red/Green CQB T-Dot which is very nice and affordable as well.
Pros:
- Price & Practicality
Cons:
- Recommend Delta Ring Tool or extra pair of hands to install.
Best Used for:
- S&W M&P 15 Sport II .556
