Most Helpful Positive Review nice rail, when i got the right one.
this is a great Rail, my only issue, i ordered the wrong one. i should've done more research. When I got the first one, while fitting it, i noticed about 3/32" of rail sitting higher than the upper. i went online and found out there's 3 available heights, not 2. if you notice the model numbers are t...

Most Helpful Negative Review Expensive Paper Weight
Received the kit and barrel nut didn't fit. Contacted Leapers and sent me a new barrel nut and told me I had the wrong one. When discussing it I explained you don't release enough information one them to decide which one is correct. A gun smith of mine couldn't even figure out which system was for ...

Great rail matched with Aero M5

by JoePa, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on June 5, 2019
I put this on an Aero M5 upper. It is a near perfect match. Can feel it is slightly lower than the high profile M5, but you really can’t see it. The rail feels great, I don’t think anyone would guess it’s as affordable as it is. Underneath is a rifle length 18in barrel. This rail covers about an inch past the gas block.

UTG free float rail

by Dana, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on June 23, 2017
Straightforward assembly, well fitted to a Stag High Profile upper receiver. Barrel nut has enough support length for the hand-guard rail to attach securely and provide a solid platform for a 6.5 Creedmoor 24" bull barrel build. Does NOT require epoxy. Most of the gun weight (12# bench weight) is supported at the bi-pod location of the free float end--rock solid. Right price, right seller, right package.
Pros:
  • value and quality
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • custom build, quality control

Looks good..... For Airsoft

by Vez, from MA, United States Written on February 8, 2017
I installed the rail and tighten the screws down to spec. There is movement where the rail attaches to the proprietary barrel nut as if the screws are not tighten down enough. I can't tighten the screws down anymore. The problem is in the design itself. The rail does not make perfectly to the receiver rail in the 12 o'clock position and no matter how tight you fasten the screws you won't get any clockwise movement but up and down, well that's another story. If you're relying on iron sights you might want to consider the accuracy issues you might run into concerning elevation. Very disappointed because at first when installed everything seemed pretty darn good. I guess sometimes in life you learn the hard way. You get what you pay for.

Simple install

by Jeremy, from CA, United States Written on January 24, 2017
I've got two of them now. Install is simple and quick. Both rifles required one barrel nut shim to align the slots on the barrel nut correctly. Well machined and lightweight. The only issue I encountered was on my left handed ar15. I needed to remove about 1/8" off of the ejector port cover hinge pin to allow the rail to fit flush with my upper.
Pros:
  • quality for the price
Cons:
  • None

Leapers utg free float rail

by Bill, from TN, United States Written on January 15, 2017
Good quality rail with an excellent mounting system. I was however sent the incorrect hgt for a dpms or-308, consulted with associates before ordering and still received the incorrect rail. The newer DPMS LR-308's are low profile type. Had to return item and purchase a Troy alpha rail due to the fact that Leapers did not make one for low profile, or so I was advised. Still a very nicely built item.

Excellent rail

by john, from TX, United States Written on November 30, 2016
After extensive internet searching, this seemed to be the best price for octagonal keymod ar10 rail I could find. After receiving the item, seems well constructed and durable. Assembly was simple. The only issue is I plan to duracoat it as there was only black as a color option.

Excellent product

by JD, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on October 23, 2015
Put this on my CMMG MK3 LR308 and really like it. A solid piece of metal that should hold up for years but also light. With the help of a 10% promo I got a great deal from Optics Planet on it so I'm very satisfied. One slight knock is that it's a darker shade of black than the receiver but I can live with it.
Pros:
  • Lightwesigh
  • easy to assemble
  • Solidly constructed
Cons:
  • different shade of black
