Extremely difficult to mount to my Zastava M70. Tension screw head made of cheap metal.

I saw this would fit my AK but when I received it, it didn't fit.

Fit my m70 perfect and so far seems to hold zero. Install was super easy, QD seems solid

A couple comments said they had problems fitting this to their ak but this fits perfectly fine and is very tight on my zavasta arms ak had to do no modification at all. It is eay to install and only took a couple minutes.

I tried mounting this unit on two different Zasatava rifles and the rail slots were too narrow to slide on either of them. I tried two other AK rifles (not Zasatava) and encountered the same problem. I doubt four rifles would have defective rails, so I must conclude I received a defective mount.

Arrived looking fine but just would not fit on two different AK's. WAY TOO TIGHT. Could have beat it on with a mallet but afterwards it might never come off....kinda defeats the "quick detach" part and you'll never be able to clean your gun. Problem seemed to be screw was most likely put on with an impact tool, slightly squeezing the mount, thus not letting it fit to the AK's rail. Even after removing the screw (which is CHEAP steel and deforms when you use a screw driver on it), there was still a slight 'bow' between the top half and bottom half of the part which connects to the AK mounting rail. Used two large flat heads (again, screw removed at this point), inserted in opposite directions of gap in rail so I could apply force against the other to slightly and deliberately unbend the mount. Did not want to go too far as the mount still needs to be secure so I worked slowly and kept checking fitment. After a few minutes of this back and forth was finally able to get this mounted snugly. If you apply too much force it would prevent the mount from being secure though.

BTW, not this mount's fault but this type of rail sits STUPID HIGH on an AK with a standard stock. Most likely will need a cheek riser.

This is a high quality, low priced mount that I have used on my N-PAP M70. Perfect for this rifle, probably for most AKs.I love the low profile and the channel cut for using the sights. Very easy to adjust and extremely secure.

For the money it is very good. I put a very good scope on it just to test it and had a very small group with it, so now I totally trust it. I am confident now knowing that the mount will hold zero so I will put my red dot on it. And if I have large irregular groups I'll know it's the red dot and not the mount.

Fits to tight, hard to get on and off. "Latching" mechanism just "bends" the lower half of the mount to pressure fit it to the side rail. After owning it for a while the screw that makes up the pivot for the "Latching" mechanism stripped and fell out. Seems to be made of very soft and weak metal. Off center alignment puts the whole pic rail off to the right.
