Tac Dot
This is my 2nd optic from Leatherwood, I've also purchased the Leatherwood Camputer ART Scope M-1000 2.5-10x44 Auto Ranging Trajectory Riflescope ART2510X44 for my AR .223. I bought the Tac Dot for my VEPR 12 guage shotgun. It was extremely easy to zero in with the provided screwdriver. I wouldn't b...

Tac Dot on .22 pistol
The manual that comes with this sight does not mention the 2 small screws on the rear, facing the shooter, or what they are for ..I discovered that they are needed to lock the sights once they are set . I emailed Leatherwood for info some time ago but have not received an answer.
Last week as I set...

did not work...at all!
previously purchased Hi-Lux scope. good product for the money. thought I would try their red dot sight. installed battery provided. red dot did not appear. tried three new batteries...red dot still did not appear. tried the three batteries in other products...they were good batteries. do not buy this product. I have sent it back to Optics Planet.

Best bang for your buck
This reflex sight is awesome! Optics planet had a rebate on it and so I took a chance and bought it. I am so glad that I did! I put this on my marlin 30-30 to use as a brunch gun up in the Pacific Northwest where the brush is so thick that sometimes you only get a split second to take a shot at a deer. Sighting in with this reflex sight is a bit tricky because the adjustments have no positive clicks or notches. You have to turn the windage and elevation turrets very slightly until you get dialed in. After a bit of tinkering with it and going through a box of ammo, I got it dialed in and now I'm shooting between 2-3 inches at 100 yards with my 30-30 and it holds zero with no problem. All in all, I love this sight, I just wish these companies would put positive click adjustments for the turrets to make life easier when sighting in. I would definitely buy this sight again!
Pros:
- clear glass
- Holds zero
Cons:
- Turrets

Leatherwood red dot 4 MOA
Very reasonable pricing. I put this on a lightweight 16" AR, and it shoots great. This is a knock around AR and the sight has held zero just fine. I have re-checked zero twice and no further adjustments have been necessary. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a red dot for a light rifle.

Works great as long as there is light out.
Very small and compact, works great on a pistol. There is no on/off or intensity switch, the optic is activated by removing the included cover and adjusts for brightness based on ambient light. The only problem with the sight would be if you were using it in total/near darkness in which the sight will not activate. If you use intend to use this in combination with a red filtered light for predator hunting, it will not work.
This was mounted on a .22 pistol and has held zero
