I bought these covers to keep the dust off and protect one of my leupold scopes when is storage or travelling, they are excellent and well made. The only thing I will complain a little bit is you have to screw-in covers.

"I know leupold is proud of its reputation, but this is ridiculous" This is what I first said when I installed these aluminum threaded lens covers. Well, all I can say is anything with the "L" on it must be something special. Oh yea, made in USA says a lot about quality too!

These are great caps period. I was bugged by the fact that the "L" medallion didn't line up. Solution was to take a small torch to the rear of the cap. Soon the adhesive will fail and the "L" medallion will pop out. Once cooled, scrape out the old adhesive and screw the covers in where the will normally be tightened to. One drop of superglue, carefully drop in medallion and you're good to go with the "L" medallions upright and looking sharp.

these leupold alumina lens covers are just what I was looking for for keeping dust off the lens while in storage and you don't have to remove the scope to install. I was looking for silver ones to match my scope but could not find any.
Cons:
- whish they came in silver

leupold needs to make these covers standard equipment on all of their scopes, as they are the best!!!! when you are cleaning your firearm you can leave the covers on as to not get solvents and other cleaning products on your scope

The threaded caps are nicely made, so if they fit your scope you should be very pleased with them. Note it's hard to identify which caps fit which scopes so you may want to contact Leupold to confirm what you should order as a lot of the older scopes cannot use these caps. Note some older scopes can be upgraded by Leupold to use these newer caps.
Cons:
- Hard to identify correct cap

This fits the Leupold 3-9x33 Ultralight rifle scope. It makes a great heavy duty objective lens cover, but because of the adjustable objective, it is a smaller diameter than the objective bell, making it a little finicky getting it on and off.
Pros:
- Heavy Duty
- Threads fit fine
Cons:
- smaller than objective bell, hard to grip.
- not made to get off in a hurry.
Best Used for:
- 32-33mm Leupold objectives

We had been using the Butler Creek Flip up covers and had no luck with them, they do not fit well and they open when you withdraw your rifle from a case or scabbard. I bought these threaded covers and they are very well made and the fit is PERFECT. The Arizona country side is dusty and dirty and loaded with rocks, you nee all the protection on your lenses that you can get. At first I thought that it would take too much time to get the front cover off. Wrong, wow it un screws quickly and you can make your shot. The fit is almost like it is waterproof it fits so well. These are the only caps to have for storage, travel or hard use.
Pros:
- well made and fits correctly
- Hard Material
- fit is perfect
- easy on or off
- Protects the scope lens
Best Used for:
- Travel
- Storage
- hard use
- dusty dirty climates

Clean, easy, simple, inexpensive. Works well for when you open your caps and leave them open. Might not be the thing for intermittent rain when you will be opening and closing or keeping the covers on until needed.

Leupold makes a good product but you would think that they would include a set of cheap plastic lens covers with a $750 scope. These are very well made lens covers as far as CNC mass produced can be. It takes less than a couple of minutes to make one of these covers. They list for something like $21 but I got these on sale here at Optics Planet. They are adequate for what they are designed for. For tactical scopes the brass medallion should be black. The medallions should be indexable so that the "L" logos would line up. Small complaints for an otherwise adequate product.
