Leupold Backcountry Mounts
This is the perfect mount if you are planning on keeping the scope on the gun permanently. If I was going to move the scope around to other rifles, I would have went with picanny mounts. This mount is as solid as they come. This is the very best solid mount I have ever used.
Great scope rings
These are the only scope rings I would put on a hunting rifle because they are lightweight and as solid as they come, and they look good too.

Leupold Backcountry Scope Mounts
Quality product. Was easy to install after I got the mount with the correct mounting bolt. I was not aware that the Remington Model 700 has two different tap sizes - 6-32 and 8-40. The look great on my rifle. OpticsPlanet made returning the first Leupold Backcountry mounts that I ordered very easy.

Luepold base and rings.
I think these rings fit very well. I had to turn them around to make more room between the bases, but everything fit perfectly for my Bergara wilderness ridge rifle. I would have problem recommending these to anyone.

Great Product
I now have these rings on multiple rifles with leupold vx-3hd and vx-5hd scopes. The firearms I have with these rings all shoot sub MOA. Great product just mount and go to the range no hassle with lapping for the few sets I own.
Pros:
- Just mount and go

Leupold Backcountry for Remington 700
Bought these scope mounts (model 171113) for my Remington 700 30-06 and they are awesome. Quality components and easy to install. Based on Leupolds website I purchased the “High” version because I was installing a 4-16x50mm scope. Couldn’t be more pleased with the fit. The end of the scope has about a 3/16” gap between it and the barrel.
Just a warning that it might not fit if you have a bull/heavy barrel.

Work great
I put these on a Nosler M48 and they work great. Only issue is that the ring base overhangs the gun by about 1/16. Not a functional issue, but seems like they should fit flush. Overall, great fitting and strong. Have used them on 2 hunts and hold true.
Pros:
- Great Fit, as described
Cons:
- None

High quality
These mounts were just what I was looking for. Lightweight and solid for a hunting rifle. I have Talley lightweight mounts on a few rifles and these seem a notch higher quality than those. If you're wondering about Leupold only offering medium and high dont worry. Medium is more like Talley low. Medium height will fit scopes with 42mm objective and I would bet it would even fit 44mm without flip up caps.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- attractive
Cons:
- price
Best Used for:
- hunting

Leupold Back Country Rings
The rings were very easy to install myself. I mounted them on a bergara b14hmr with a vortex viper. It is a very good set up. I originally purchased a matte black set of rings but they were on backorder. Optics planet sent me these and gave me a sweet discount.

Great fit for the 700
Put the product on top of Remington 700 in .308. So far it’s been great, survived multiple range days and held the scope at zero even after riding around in the coyote rig bouncing around it helped maintain scope zero.
