This is an amazing spotting scope does the job as good as $1000 ones and it’s so compact and easy to carry anywhere and every where I’m enjoying it and it’s crystal clear vision

I bought this as a lightweight spotting scope for backpacking hunts and use on the range. Glass clarity is very good and works well with a digital scope phone mount. I would prefer that the rubber eye pice was removable however it does fold out of the way. For a mid-price spotting scope you get very good quality and value.

Very good entry level compact lightweight spotting scope at reasonable price from reputable brand and with lifetime warranty. Easy to focus, clear image of objects distant 300 yards at 30X magnification.. Replaces cheaper lower quality scope. Main use for rifle target shooting at 100 and 200 yards at the gun range and for viewing wildlife at 300 yards max. I wear trifocals prescription eyeglasses and the collapsible eyecups are a must.

I owns several Leupold Gold Ring rifle scopes and I bought and am rating this scope based on my perceived value/price ratio and my satisfaction with the quality and customer service of Leupold Gold Ring optics versus optics of other brands in a similar price range. I own Swarovski and Leica optics and their performance is superior to that of this Leupold scope, but their price is exponentially higher and I do not need/want to lug around a $1K spotting scope to see .223 bullet holes at 100 yards and .270 and 300 caliber impacts at 200 yards

I bought this spotting scope as the kit with the tripod. It's the best piece of glass I own. I've looked through Bushnell and Nikon and neither hold a candle to this. At 30x magnification the Rings of Saturn are well defined even with the bright full moon looking on. Not only was Saturn impressive, but Jupiter and three of its moons were clear in this scope. I look forward to purchasing the 20-60x80mm when I can. These USA built scopes are worth every penny.

I would definitely buy these again they are solid binoculars for the price. Also besides being a good value they are very clear and lightweight which is perfect for my backpack hunting needs. Finally it's Leupold so you know it's backed by a quality warranty.

Lightweight makes this easy to carry, vs heavy others with better specs that you'll just leave in the truck, or at home. Don't get carried away with specs. Lower power makes it easier to steady on the target, and see all that is necessary. Knob, and focusing ring are easy to use. Easy to hold steady on a trigger stick. This superior quality, astronomically clear optic doubles as a telescope; during the recent "super moon", from my light polluted neighborhood, I could see detail on the Moon !

I bought this scope to use in western hunts after lugging my Kowa 82 mm up amd down mountains last year. So far, I have only used this scope on the range at distances of 50-300 yds. I could easily see 7mm holes in white paper at 300 yds, and could see the same holes in the black at 200 yds, both under light overcast. I know I gave up optical quality, but I was looking for portability and this scope disappears in a backpack. I will probably update my review after I hunt with it, but I expect it to work exactly as I envisioned. I was also pleased that it included a screw-on metal objective cover.

I picked this spotting scope out for my dad for a trip to Montana elk hunting this fall along with a tripod. He seems to really like it so far. Might not be as powerful as some of the larger table top type spotting scopes but we are going to be carrying it for miles everyday in the mountains so we went with this more compact version. No complains so far and love the Leupold golden ring warranty.

this thing is awesome!!! its light to carry and rugged yet still has the leupold gold ring clarity and quality!!! great value -- I highly recommend and would purchase again. the hard case is probably not necessary, but its nice to have it and the tripod at the range. the soft case is excellent and perfect for hunting/stalking. I am super impressed with this spotting scope! I needed one for an upcoming hunt. I was trying to be economical so I thought I would be sacrificing quality to some extent. Not the case! Super crisp, easy to use, good in low light. What a great find. I highly recommend this spotting scope
