Amazing clarity and accuracy

I had the pleasure of using three different models of the VX-3i, and was impressed with the performance of all three. The 4.5-14x40 we mounted on a standard flat-top AR platform with the Leupold Mark 2 mount. We were able to sight this in with only a few shots since the adjustment turrets on these scopes are very accurate. The sight picture is very clear, and the Duplex reticle works great by keeping the users focus towards the center of the crosshair. We started at 100 yards shooting paper targets, since we had already set up to sight in the scope. We had no problems shooting the box with a simple bag set up for support, and after we zeroed the scope, we were able to hit a steel gong dead center at 200 yards, even set at the lowest magnification! These scopes are extremely accurate for the price, and the clarity is unmatched. The turret adjustment knobs are silky smooth, as is the magnification ring. The CDS option is well worth the money if you are looking to permanently attach this scope to one specific rifle. Leupold will send back a custom elevation turret designed specifically for your caliber!

Leupold scope

Great quality scope with one of the best warrantees from a company that has been around for a long time. The 4 x 14 power scope is ideal for woods and far field shots. The scope is in the mid range price but is a top of the line whitetail rifle scope. The crosshairs stand out when placed against dark object enabling the shooter to acquire the target. Great overall scope.

Good value and clarity

It’s a Leupold, the adjustments are true and the glass clarity is what you would expect. I haven’t used the CDS yet, but see no reason it wouldn’t be just as good. Most shots around here are 300 yards or less, so the CDS wasn’t the selling point for me.

Great looking scope

great value riflescope

I mounted this riflescope on my Tikka T3 Lite .30-06 using Talley 1" extra-low lightweight alloy scope mounts, had plenty of clearance. Very bright picture, looks and feels solid. very light (only 13 ounces), does not affect balance of rifle. Includes the CDS Custom Dial System for my specific ammunition.

Varmint rifle build

The Leupold 4.5-14x40 CDS Scope is the perfect addition to my Browning 22/250 White Gold Medallion rifle. Very easy to set up and use with the free cds scope turret that you receive from leupold after the purchase. Just range your target and dial the range on your turret and put the crosshair on the spot you want to hit and fire. No guess work here. Love Simplicity!!!!!!

Make the Investment

I'm a competitive long-range shooter, fully dependent on Leupold optics to ensure I'm on target. Simply put, always consider your rifle from the top down; to hit the target, one must clearly see it. The light transmission in this Leupold scope is extraordinary. The CDS is an added bonus, especially for long-range shooting. Make the investment!!

Leupold VX-3i-4.5-14x40mm Boone & Crocket Reticle

I highly recommend all Leupold products. I have several Leupold scopes and for the price it is hard to beat the quality. Their scopes, rings and are easy to mount no matter what rifle you are using. They are easy to sight in and they hold the sight in with very minor adjustments based on changes in ammunition. They are strong and rugged and hold up to the rigors of hunting. I highly recommend the Boone & Crockett reticle and have it in almost all my scopes. Even the couple of scopes of other brands . It makes sighting in on your target so much easier. I have shot prarie dogs with this scope on a 223 bolt action rifle at over 500 yards with no proplem.I would like to see this scope offered in a 4x16 or a 3x18.

Best Scope for the Price

I ordered the Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40mm scope and received it in the mail within a week. Mounted the scope on my Model 70 .270 and had it sighted in within no time at all. This is scope is unbelievably clear and can be used late in the evening when all my other scopes would have become useless. Excellent product and I will be ordering another one for my daughters .270 very soon.
