Most Helpful Positive Review Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3-5-10x40mm
This is a beautifully finished and very clear optic. It does everything it is supposed to do, and does it well. I have scopes from Schmidt & Bender, US Optics, and other Leupolds. This one is as easy to use and clear as any I have. Pros: Bright clear image. Easy to adjust for focus. Illumination is simple and easy to use. Illumination does not overwhelm the scope, even in complete darkness. Positive clicks on windage and elevation. Cons: The scope appears to be popular, as it was not in stock for many months. I particularly wanted the flat dark earth and was willing to wait.

Superlative long range scope.

by Mark Johnson, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on December 24, 2016
The Leupold Mark 4 line of scopes are known for great light transmission and clarity. Up there with the best. Illuminated reticle is nice in low, dim light where the fine hash marks tend to disappear. Paired with an American Defense Recon 30 mount the combo is easily one of my favorite packages. Low profile turrets are nice. Finish is excellent

Tried and true

by Bryan, from TX, United States Written on December 21, 2016
If this scope can handle down range use and abuse from our fighting men and women, it can certainly handle what I can throw at it. For nearly a decade this scope has been getting it done, providing a reliable tool to those trained to use it. You can never go wrong with Leupold Mk4 optics or Optics Planet. Leupolds awesome warranty and customer service are top notch. Same goes for Optis Planet.

great scope, nice finish, excellent clarity

by rj, from TX, United States Written on December 1, 2016
The FDE finish on this scope is excellent. Clarity of the scope is excellent. Only con is I thought the "clicks" were a little mushy and you had to be careful not to over or under click. The Leupold mount that I bought with scope was a good value but had only two locking screws per ring...fine for 5.56 but I switched to a sturdier mount for 7.62
Pros:
  • Excellent clarity
Cons:
  • mushy clicks

Great Scope

by SK, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on July 11, 2016
I've had a couple of scopes and so far I am very impressed with this scope. Ease of use and clarity is excellent. I have not had to use customer service as of yet but the scope's manuals and provided end caps are useful very appropriate.

Mark 4 Long range tactical

by Marshall, from AZ, United States Written on July 8, 2015
Crystal clear glass, great contrast and clear eye relief. Elevation and windage adjustment knobs are very precise and allow you to dial in your shots. Illuminated reticle is useful when shooting in low light. Markings on reticle are clear and sharp but do not interfere with sight picture.

Leupold Mark 4

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on December 6, 2011
Mounting a flash light and using in combo with the illuminated reticle in low light conditions is awesome. The clarity of the scope is fantastic and it has a way of pulling the flash light light from longer distances than one would expect. I do have complaint on the cheap lense covers. Not to mention the spring loaded one smacks the Illumination Dial when opening if it's lined up in a normal position.
Pros: Illuminated Reticle
Cons: Whish the Dark Earth color scope came in a higher power, the lense cover are super cheap.

Leupold LR/T 3.5-10x 40 illuminated, dark earth

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on September 19, 2011
I mounted this scope on my duty rifle which is a GAP-10 .308. I used badger medium rings which are the perfect height for me. The lens quality is excellant. I like the M2 dials, and that they are calibrated for the 168 grain bullet. The new illumination dial works very well especially since my team uses the UNS during night operations.I grew up using mil dot, and find that the TMR reticle is easy to use.
Pros: quality glass, M2 dials, new illum controls

Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x40mm M2 DE

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AK, United States Written on May 21, 2011
Bullet drop compensator dial is very easy to use and very handy...once you have your bullet loads dialed in...perfect for 168gr HPBT. Scope matches perfectly with my desert colored rifle...it's not too big, not too small either. It makes the rifle easy to walk around with. The illuminated reticle works great at sunset.
Pros: Clear quality glass, turret dials are streamlined
Cons: Wish it had more magnification, scope caps should be matching colors

Once of the best scopes you can get
