I want to like this scope but haven't been successful after two tries - Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm P5 Dial Rifle Scope

So I must apparently have some terrible luck with close to medium range sights. A friend had one of these and I really liked it so went with it. Received mine and vision was completely cloudy (confirmed by everyone who looked through it). Returned scope and picked up same model from local sporting goods store. The illuminated reticle turns off when I rack my charging handle back on that one. I'm done with this scope.
