I've had this for almost 7 years now and I've only replaced the battery once or twice.
I've left it on accidentally on multiple occasions, not sure how long, but probably not longer than a week or so.

The Leupold Mark AR 3-9 x 40 scope is an amazing scope. It has very good clarity and the green Lazer dot brings your eye on target quickly. There are many intensity levels for the green dot to adjust to your preference and different lighting situations. It is quickly adjusted at just a push of a button. The turrets are also easily adjustable and provide quick adjustments to different target distances and windages. Very good quality easy to use scope!

I mounted this on a ruger American .223 with Leupold scope rings and it fits the rifle and my needs well. I have multiple mod 1 scopes on smaller caliber rifles and they work great. They are easy to use have clear glass, and hold zero. I would recommend to anyone

The Leupold Mark AR is a good quality scope for a great price- it was delivered as promised. I had no issues with this purchase at all. I particularly like the fire dot sight. It works great in low light conditions. I look forward to hunting some big Texas hogs with it.

Excellent scope along with great customer service. Would highly recommend for someone with younger eyesight. I am now trying to exchange this one for more magnification. Unfortunately, their return/exchange policy states that you can't exchange an already mounted scope. Disappointed, but I understand.

As a Peace Officer and a Retired Marine Officer with service in Iraq, I buy my guns to fight with. Serving as a counter marksman on our SRT team I have experience in what I am looking for in a purpose built rifle. All my optics have been Leupold. They're reliable and proven. I built an AR 5.56 platform DMR rifle. I needed optics. I live close to Portland and can run to Leupold Factory in under an hour. But I could not beat the price on this scope and mount kit from Optics Planet. Even with the discount offered by Leupold at the factory, OP was a better buy. The scope and mount were installed, leveled and trued by my dealer friend. This scope offered what I was looking for and it was specifically engineered for the AR 5.56 platform. I can range with the MilDot reticle easily. The fire dot is important in that in low light it allows target tracking when the black reticle gets lost blending with the target at night. I am well pleased with my purchase. It was pleasing right out of the box as expected of any new optic from Leupold. I will be back to OP for a sun shade, Tenebrex anti-reflective wafer and rear, flip up scope cover. Now to get it to the range and dial it and get my dope card created.

Great scope for the money. It came sighted in really close and we were on paper out of the box at 50 yards. The green Illuminated reticle is plenty bright enough during the day and is not too large. Very light weight and well made. Turrets work excellent. Glass is very clear.

I don’t give out 5 stars very often, but that is what this product has earned. This scope is tough and takes all the rugged abuse an AR dishes out, but still maintains the clarity and precision that Leupold is renown for. Install it with a Burris PEPR mount, throw a Leupold DeltaPoint sight on top and you have a set up that meets every shooting need.

This is a quality scope for the $300-$400 price range. I’ve bought cheap scopes in the past, and had to learn the hard way you should never make budget cuts on your optics. Now I have +$100 worth of broken, worthless scopes and still had to spend money on this quality replacement when I could have bought this from the beginning with less headaches in the long run.

I am excited and can't wait to use this scope on my 556 sig sauer .thank you optics planet. this is specifically set up for 5.56 / 223 bullets of 55grain weight. it took me quite a while to narrow in on this optic. not sure why , but it finally stood out .
