I just built a MK 12 Mod 1 andi had to have this Leupold MK4 to top it off to make it authentic. It did not disappoint. It’s a classic! The glass is crystal clear. The magnification power is perfect for mid range shooting. If this optic wasn’t perfect for the application I don’t think the military would have favored it so. Also it is tough. Many scopes are good but almost none are tough enough to stand up to the rigors of true use in the field in the military. Also for its type including illumination it is relatively light.

Leupold Mark 4 2.5-8x36mm MR/T M2 is an Awesome optic, exactly as advertised. Like all Leupold optics, the quality is outstanding, as well as fit and finish, and crystal clear glass. I bought 3 or 4 similar optics all at the same time, and this one is by far my favorite. Thanks!

Purchased this optic for my MK12 Mod 1 build and turned out amazing. I usually run 50mm Obj but the 36mm obj has grown on me. Now this is my favorite optic so far. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking at it.

I'm in the process of completing a Mk12 clone build and have been wanting to use the Mark 4 as the glass. Finally found it at a great price and pulled the trigger. I had been using a Mark AR Mod1 and after mounting and sighting in the Mark4, I can tell you it was a night and day improvement over the Mark AR Mod1. Nothing against the Mark AR Mod1, but you do notice the advantages and realize why the mark4 cost more. With that being said, are there better scopes or scopes that offer more out there at the same price range as the Mark4? Sure, but I'm building a clone rifle and wanted to stay as true as reasonably possible to what it was issued with.
Pros:
- Clone correct for the MK-12 rifle

I used this scope on a .308 AR. I was trying to keep weight to a minimum and at 16 oz this scope was about as light as you can get in this magnificattion range and with the features I wanted. I got the ts-30 which comes with a battery cap lanyard and alignment marks being the only difference. I own two us optics scopes and while the glass in this one is not as good it is significantly cheaper so that being said I am sastified with the optical clarity. The adjustments track reliably. The clicks are a little mushy but still decernable. I like how the illumination knob settings turn from off,1,off,2,off,3 ect. That way you only turn the knob one click for on and one for off from your favorite setting. I own several leupold hunting scopes, this being the first mark 4 Ive purchased. I have to say overall Im very happy with it. I paid $1070 with a discount coupon. At that price I have no complaints.

Great midrange glass for my AR. Well made with very bright and very clear optics. I purchased the mil dot retical which works great with my set up. Nice big tube lets lots of light in. Highly recommended.

This is a really nice high quality scope. I really like the TMR, with the open cross hairs, where if your aiming for the center of the bullseye you can still see the center of the bullseye, as it is not covered by cross hairs. I also like the bullet drop compensator built right into the top turret knob. I have the scope set up on a SCAR 17, zeroed at 100 yards, and all you have to do is turn the top turret ups to the 300 yard mark, and your pretty much back on the bullseye at the 25 yard indoor ranges.
Pros: High quality; Bullet drop compensation for 308-168gn
Cons: Price

I bought this scope to use with a FnH Scar 17s 308 for mid-range work after doing lots if due diligance with other scopes. Coupled with a MRDS offset, this combination is fantastic. Best scope for the money.
Pros: Easy to use; clear glass; illuminated reticle

The 1 MOA elevation turret allows fast adjustments out to 700 yards in less than 1 revolution. Illuminated retical is very bright and adjustable for low light conditions. I'm not a fan of mil-rad ranging/reticals simply because my other scopes are MOA so it's what i am used to. Also, this scope has MOA turrets so it should have an MOA retical not Mil.
Pros: 1 moa elevation turret, illuminated reticle
Cons: Milliradian type range retical
