Most Helpful Positive Review Awesome, the best by far.
We have three other range finders that are suppose to read objects from 400 to 800 yards. They simply just don't perform, slow or won't read at all. This 1200 model is super fast and has the range to boot. 700 yard targets are an ease. 1000 yard targets, no problem. Not sure past that but I'm sure it will. Easy to use. Excellent quality. Don't east your money on others, buy this one! You won't regret it!

Mr John G Hudson

by John G Hudson, from KS, United States Written on October 15, 2018
Difficult to understand instruction. So far 300 yds is all I can get it to read. It only reads game to 800 but advertises 1200 yds to a telephone pole never found a need to shoot one. Should be told that when reading up trying to decide what range finder to by.
Pros:
  • Clairity
Cons:
  • Difficult to steady

Leupold RX-1200i w/DNA Laser Rangefinder

by Exit4, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on March 31, 2018
My first laser rangefinder. Didn't really know what features were basic vs. better but light research showed me the way. As always, it all comes down to PRICE. This little guy meets my needs for up to 300 yards (I paced off a 310 yd. field then used the Leupold to verify - came in at 303 yds !!!). It doesn't require much reflective targeting as recommended by the manual although it helps especially in low ambient light situations. I hope to push the limits of its range of 1000+ yards. Still, a great deal for a name brand product.

For the money

by AntV, from CA, United States Written on March 23, 2018
So far I’m happy with this range finder, especially for the money. I bought this while it was on sale and at this time I have no regrets. I’ve been looking for a decent range finder for sometime and I haven’t been able to find one at this price range that went pass 600 yards. When I seen that this will double that and with it been a Leupold I figure i would try it out. I’m happy I did.
Pros:
  • Prices and name brand
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Target Hunting

Good range finder

by Hotrod, from VA, United States Written on February 14, 2018
Great range finder for the price. Real consistent, measured a few distances an ranged them with it and it read maybe half a yard off at 50 yards, but consistent. I’ve ranged a few 500 yard targets an was pretty close, like I said it ranged consistent. Some cheaper range finders don’t get consistent numbers. Opticsplanet shipped it fast and it was packaged good.
Pros:
  • 1200 yard reach. Easy to use.
Cons:
  • None

The qulity of this rangerfinder is amazing. It's very easy to use. I am more than satisfied with its max range of 1200+ yards. In addition, Leupold has a great warranty. I used leupold scopes in the future and am not disappointed with this purchase.

excellent product

by jayc1958, from OR, United States Written on September 26, 2017
I search numerous other sites for the right range finder and read a lot of reviews. I finally settled in on this one. I found it with ease on your site. I was apprehensive because the add said "display model" but when I got it it was brand new and worked flawlessly. Their customer service is wonderful as well. I recommend OpticsPlanet to all my friends and family for their optical needs.

Fantastic item, the usual from Leupold

by DocRok, from CA, United States Written on August 26, 2017
Long time ago I bought a dual image rangefinder. What a pain. Now, just in time for a trip, I picked this up. It arrived just barely the day before. I started to read instructions, but a simple two button push tells me everything I needed to know. The 6x monocular is a valuable item all by itself. The rangefinder is fast, easy and humbling. No, that's not 300 yds., it's only 160. ha ha. Haven't used it long enough to drop or soak it
Pros:
  • convenient
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • open range shooting
  • looks good for hunting
