This scope was recommend by a couple of hunting buddies for the Browning A-bolt slug gun. At this point, 4 out of 5 guys have this setup and 5th guy is just trying to be different. I really like the glass on this scope and the reticle on this scope. The S.A.B.R recilcle has hold overs for muzzleloader (two or three pellets) and for the modern shotgun slugs. I will be sighting in my shotgun this weekend but based on shooting my friends guns and their recommendations I'm pretty happy. My only complaint is buying the correct rings to mount to your shotgun.
Pros:
- Weight
- Good eye releif
- SABR reticle
Best Used for:
- muzzleloader and Slug gun

Once you are sighted in this scope is the best! There are no dials or turrents to mess with. I prefer this type of aiming system. Just pick the correct aiming point in the scope and shoot. At maximum magnification and with 44 caliber bullets is good to 225 yards on my smokepole. I'll be getting another one for my shotgun next.
Best Used for:
- Muzzleloading and shotgun deer hunting

Excellent amount of light comes through and very clear view. Good american made product. I chose it over the nikon scope and I am glad I did.THe scope was easy to mount and believe or not I hit bulls eys at 50 yards without having to sight it in.

I bought this to go on a 12ga Slug Gun. Mounted as per my usual process that I would use on any other gun. Bore sighted it and took to the range. After initial sight in, moved to 100yds. Scope is clear easy to see and holds a good zero. For a slug gun or short range Muzzle Loader, I would purchase this scope again. Leupold has a solid reputation if warranty is needed, though I have never needed it.

I have 5 ultimate slams not just on my shotgun and black powder but on my 338 and 458 these scopes take the recoil and work great. I used this on my 338 and harvested my deer with it.put it on my 458 and it very close gives me the same ballistics as my shotgun. Great scope.

I knew when I ordered this scope that the one pictured wasn't the one I ordered. I had researched scopes and had chosen this model so I knew what I was ordering. The scope exceeds my expectations. The price was the best on the web. Delervy was faster than promised and I am a happy hunter. Yes I have mounted, sighted in, and successfully hunted with it. 5 star scope at a 5 star price.

Like other Leupold scopes I have, the quality is still there. Great scope for the price range. The viewing is a little too tight in that the duplex and ranges seem really close together. When raising the scope to your eye it takes a moment to focus being that the configurations seem too close together. With more usage I think that situation will clear itself up. I have not had this scope long enough to adjust to it.

Leupold scopes never disappoint! Super crisp picture, durable, lifetime warranty, what more can you ask for? I have a number of Leupold scopes and have never been disappointed in their products. Highly recommend this scope! Mounted it to a Remington Ultimate Muzzleloader and I am successfully shooting 1.5" groups at 100 yards. Great buy!!!!!

Great scope for purchase price. It makes a great addition to my Remington Ultimate Muzzleloader. I have only practiced on the range at different yardages out to 300 and the optics are extremely clear.

This is a great scope for muzzleloaders. I have one on each of my muzzleloaders and my one friend has one on each of his muzzleloaders as well. I've only shot my muzzleloader out to 200 yards but, the ballistics works great out to there. Much better eye relief and field of view than Nikon's muzzleloader scope. I have another friend who has the Nikon version and, wishes he'd got the Leupold. You won't go wrong with a Leupold.
