Purchased this scope to mount on my Noveske AR556. I use it in 3-gun competition. Crystal clear glass in all weather conditions. Great for close in targets and zooms quickly (with assist from throw device) for long range targets. Looks great, works great.

country boy,ROTC and 7th 11B INF. never needed a scope, iron was all i needed.
well that was 40 plus years ago. wanted a small 1-4 for my AR, this scope got great reviews. the eye relief and warranty is what sold me on leupold. i have really enjoyed this scope, its fast, simple, easy to operate turrets and allows me to see target with both eyes open. shame this model has been discontinued. good news is leupolds got plenty more options for the AR platform. opticsplanet had such a good deal on this scope i had enough $ left over to buy my 2nd leupold from OP!

I am using the Leupold VX-2 1-4x20mm on a PTR-91 battle rifle chambered in .308 Win.
The VX-2 in 20 mm is short enough to leave space for accessing the PTR-91 charging handle. No interference with a lengthy scope. The 4x maximum magnification is sufficient for most gun ranges, target shooting or hunting. The 20 mm front lenses are bright throughout the sunset or early mornings.
The standard reticle is clear and easy to use for all distances. Only concern is the eye relief not being constant over the full magnification ranges. However, some trigger time provided and one will get easily accustomed to adjust eye relieves to personal preferences.
The Leupold VX-2 1-4x20 mm is my second Leupold scope. I like the sturdiness, ease of handling and value of Leupold products.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- compact
- Sturdy
- Reticle easy to see
- Quick target acquisition
- Value and Lifetime Warranty
- Diopter and Reticle Focus
Cons:
- no constant eye relief
- night time vision
Best Used for:
- hunting
- target
- ar and battle rifle use

High Quality MADE IN U S A product at a bargain price! Perfect match for Bambi Blasting from a tree stand with a 20 ga rifled bbl M 870 which is shooting <2 min groups with sabot ammo. And has known high optical quality and ruggedness but,if needed, is backed by the super Leupold service center.

My Henry 45-70 kicks like a mule and this scope was quick to zero and held it. I shot nice tight groups with both Hornady LeverEvolution and Federal Powershok ammo. I tried a Weaver V-3 and it was terrible; my groups were all over the place and it would not hold zero. I exchanged it for this Leupold. I have to admit that the gold ring on the Leupold looks pretty sharp with my brass Henry too. Crystal clear bright optics and a great scope at a decent price. Don't be a cheapskate. Get a Leupold!
Pros:
- Crystal clear image
- Can handle heavy recoil
- perfect for lever guns

Great little scope for my 45-70. Dialed it right in and 1/4" pattern at 100 yds. I'm impressed. Of course it's as much the shooter as it is the weapon or scope but it's still a fine little scope. Great price and real fast shipping too. Thanks much.

I wish I would have bought this scope sooner but, I bought a aim point pro red dot sight the first time around. I like both of these sights alot but, the leupold is much more flexible. I use the scope on my 300 blackout and could not be more happy. Honestly I am debating on buying another one.

Very happy with this scope. It is my first scope and I couldn't be happier with it. Picks up light very well, image is very CLEAR. I am using this on one of my .22's but I would use it on my 5.56 also.

Fantastic scope. What you expect from Leupold. Fantastic field of view. Great eye relief. Planning on putting this on top of a Henry 30-30. Can't think of a better fit. Looking forward to the deer woods next year.

Like all of the VX-2 and VX-3 Leupold scopes this has wonderful clarity and no apparent distortion. Got this for a lightweight AR-15 build. This is half the weight of a competitor's unit. 1 to 4 magnification gives me ranges from zero to 200 yards without any problems. Over the years Leupold coatings just keep getting better.
