Deer Hunting Gold
This scope is exactly the lightweight, rugged, scope I wanted for a general purpose deer rifle. The only disadvantage was the need to carefully select the rings to fit it over a .30-06 bolt action, due to the short tube length. If you buy this scope for a long-action, it will require very narrow rings to mount.

RIFLE SCOPE
As with ALL Leupold products the quality and performance are outstanding! It is the perfect size and power range to mount on my Ruger 77 International rifle in 358 Winchester caliber. I also like the Heavy Duplex offered only in this model from Leupold, it works great in "Low Light" and "Heavy Brushy Timber" areas common here in the West Coast.

Nice AR scope
I bought this scope for a new AR. It's a nice compromise for close targets and reasonably far targets. It's certainly a nice match for .223 Rem unless you're shooting gophers or prairie dogs at 300 yards. It's a VX-3, so the optics are nice and clear with good eye relief. Leupold does a nice job keeping the weight down. The rifle with optics weighs a little over 7 lbs. I chose this scope over the VX-3 1.5-5x20 because I figure the low light performance would be a little better due to the larger objective.

Leupold VX-3
These sights are excellent value. Very well designed, constructed, and offer great functionality. They are great in the field and work very well in all light conditions, virtually to slightly before sun up to past sun down.

surpassed expectations
excellent build quality. very bright. I purchased the heavy duplex crosshairs which are only slightly wider than the standard duplex. They are perfect. ideal for mountain hunting in North Idaho. Often there are low light conditions and fog which require maximum like transmission and a heavier crosshair.

Best practical rifle scope for the money
This is a great scope. Clear image. Good low light optics. Life time warranty. To get a better scope you would need to spend twice as much.

Leupold VX-3
It took me a little while to get it mounted, adjusted, and zeroed but it was all worth it. It is now the best scope I have owned. I guess that's no surprise because it's the most expensive scope I have owned.
