Typical excellent Leupold value.
The Leupold VX3HD 2.5-8X36 is the perfect scope for me. The reticle adjustments are positive and they work just like they should. The scope is light and this is a positive when you are in your seventies. Being made in the U.S.A. is a mandatory issue to me and the Leupold proves that we can make anything just as good, or better, than anyone can. Cost is cost and this scope is priced no higher than the best quality foreign or domestic competition. It is as good as any and much better than most.
Leupold 2.5-8x36 rifle scope.
This is the perfect scope for hunting short distance shots the majority of the time but does have enough power to reach out to two hundred yards on big game. I've used this scopes on shotguns and rifles from a 243 to 308.

Leupold VX-3HD 2.5-8x
The leupold VX-3HD is a great line of rifle scopes for their price point. I probably own 20 or more of them. You can buy better and pay at least twice as much. They are rugged and if something going wrong on the internal mechanism it will be repaired for free.

I put this on a 444 cva scout because I needed the 4 inch eye relief and it worked perfectly extremely clear every thing you would expect from Leopoldo

Leupold 2.5x8x36
Put this scope on a new 17 HMR and I think it is perfect for the rifle. It has the correct dimensions, and is light enough that the combination is easy to carry. The 2.5x8 variable power is plenty for shots out to 200 yards. As with all Leupold scopes the glass is awesome.

Leupold scope review
Purchased this scope to replace an existing 3x9 scope on a Ruger 10/22 for use in target shooting. Incredibly clear and was easy to adjust after having been bore scoped. I have other Leupold scopes and highly recommend them.

Does the job right.
Great Glass work great on Hunting pigs on two to three power in Texas at dusk with a 308, Blr. Next trip hunting whitetails 250 yd shots on 5 to 7 power, mounted on a Bar 30-06, work great multiple one shot kills. A quick adjustment knob makes it real easy for changing from one end of the power Spectrum to the next. Nice light compact scope for the hunt and the long walk. Highly recommend it, for the quality & price, for a scope thats going to get abused alot in a pack,on my back, and in a scabbard on horse back.
