Most Helpful Positive Review Leupold Variable Illuminated 4.5-14
Excellent clarity and a good Field of Vision at Max and Min Magnification. The only problem is the control for the illumination level. It does not have a positive stop at the zero power level. In low light use, it is impossible to know if the scope is drawing battery power at a low level. The lack of a positive stop on the control dial means that even sliding the weapon into a case will likely start a battery drain. This is also true on the other Leupold illuminated scopes. Great scope!!!

I love this scope. Its hands down the best scope I've looked through. The 56mm objective does a wonderful job at capturing light in low light conditions. The illuminated reticle it pretty sweet itself. There's no excuses now for not making a quality shot on any animal that finds themselves in the crosshairs. I would highly recommend this scope to anyone looking to purchase a quality new scope!

I have purchased 8 VX-3L scopes from Planet optics . Mount these scopes on a Browning X bolt
rifle with the x bolt mounts and rings from Planet optics and you will have a hunting rifle
you will never have to zero in again . I have had one fall out of my Kawasaki mule , ran over it
took it to the range and it was dead on the money . VX-3L cost a little more from take it from a man who
has be hunting for over 45 years . They are worth every dime you put in to them .
In fact i was on O/P Web site going to order one for my Ruger # 1 rifle when i was asked to do a review.

Awesome clarity

I made the choice to get the VX-3L for my Mossberg MVP Patrol .308 rifle. The low profile and the clarity is awesome. I've gotten it zeroed, and I'm waiting on Leupold to send me the custom dial for the ammo. That part is FREE! Also, I checked several places around town and online, and opticsplanet.com had the lowest price I could find.

Excellent scope, worth the price. Quality is unsurpassed by any other scope manufactured today. Very dependable in the field and on the shooting range. A must have scope for any high caliber rifle. Very sharp optics.

Leupold 4.5-14x56 Illuminated

Exceptional scope for late evenings and very early mornings. Extends your ability to place a perfect shot by a substantial amount of time.
Field of view is incredibly good for a quick running shot if needed.

I have used this for two seasons including bitter cold and hot Texas summers. Works splendidly in African dust and cold drizzle.
Perfect value.
Pros: Extends your hunting evening signifigantly
Cons: Illumination control can needs a positive off position

Leupold VX-3L 4.5-14x56 Illum Boone & Crockett

The Leupold VX-3L 4.5-14x56 Long Range Illum. Boone & Crockett scope is perfect for long range shooting in low light conditions. The only bad thing is that it is expensive.
