Most Helpful Positive Review VX-6 like spotting scope
Not many scope rings for 34 mm available. Excellent crisp image and practical reticle. Pros: bright and excellent zoom range Cons: few scope rings
Most Helpful Negative Review Great idea with poor manufacturing follow up.
First off let me start by saying that I own seven, high end, and mostly satisfactory Leopold scopes, that were all purchased through Optics Planet. Predicated this fact, I looked foreword with great expectations to receiving this one. The day it arrived, I opened the Leupold factory sealed box to ...

Excellent Scope

by Kevin, from PA, United States Written on February 28, 2015
Absolutely love this scope. It does a great job in low light conditions. This scope is a very good value compared to other scopes. My friend has another brand name scope which cost a lot more money and is not as nice as the Leupold VX-6 4x24. I would definitely recommend this scope. It is not the tactical line but has many tactical features and the glass is very clear.

works great and very clear

by john, from LA, United States Written on February 14, 2015
I put this scope on my eastridge statearms 50 bmg and it still holds a zero. The cds is also very nice to have with you rifle for different range shooting. I haven't had a problem with leupold scopes but my friend did. He could only get a 5 inch group at 100 yards and sent his scope back and got another and now shoots 1/2 inch groups now. There customer service is very helpful so if the is a rotten egg in the group they will help you no problem.
Pros:
  • Clear optics
  • Holds zero
  • Very well made
Cons:
  • None

best rifle scope I've gotten my hands on.

by mike, from WI, United States Written on February 10, 2015
This is by far the best scope I've gotten my hands on. With smaller diameter tubes you would have to start at a higher magnification to get anywhere near 24x Probably 8+ which is too much to hunt with or shoot at closer range targets. Everything functions properly, its crystal clear, worth every penny.

Good scope

by Greg, from KS, United States Written on December 24, 2014
This is my third scope. I really like them, they are on my long range guns. I do a lot of 1000 yard shooting. Clarity is just as good as a Nightforce, and I like the zero stop. A really good scope for the money.

Amazing optics

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 26, 2014
Glass is super clear on all magnification levels, there's enough internal adjustment to shoot out past 1000 yards, walking around with the scope on 4 power is very practical for hunting, and the ability to roll into 24x at a moments notice is extraordinary. Having MOA reticle and turrets together makes adjustments easy. Paired with a larue OBR 1 piece mount, maintains fantastic zero on a 7mm rem mag and a 25 wssm, moving back and forth with approximately 1k high powered rounds through it. Low light transmission is great with the 52mm tube. Only disadvantage is that it makes the scope to bore height a little taller than I'm used to with a 40mm scope.
Pros: Clear glass, crisp adjustments, tons of magnification range
Cons: Zero stop gets a bit stuff returning completely to zero

Nice optics, reticle is canted out of box

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on March 6, 2014
Do a search for Leupold canted reticles, and you'll notice the increasing number of problems from Leupold. I have sworn by Leupold for years, but seems like quality control is getting put aside for mass marketing and production. When I spend $1400 on a new riflescope, I shouldn't have to immediately ship it back to the manufacturer to have it repaired.
Pros: Clear optics, nice magnification range
Cons: Have to ship back to Leupold due to poor quality control

Very clear optics and wide range of magnification. Side focus is a great feature. 34mm tube provides a lot of adjustment range.
Pros: clear optics, great magnification range
