Love it , just sited in sunday , took about 10 shots to zero and dead nuts on at 100 , fire dot works great in bright daylight, at close range just turn the dot on brite and leave both eyes open and use as a red dot ,
Pros:
- Made by leupold and brite red dot
Cons:
- Non , it's a leupold made in the U.S .

This optic is fantastic, light weight super compact compared to others on the market. The eye relief is good and with a bit of training you get used to the not true 1power zoom. I thought it wouldn’t hold up to others in its class like the Steiner but I was wrong. Great clarity. Rock solid craftsmanship. For the price it smokes every LPVO in the same range. If you’re looking to save a few bucks and still have a top notch optic this is it!!!
Pros:
- Light, compact, great clarity
Best Used for:
- hunting, boogaloo, training. CQC, and medium ranges

Typical Leupold quality . Crystal clear glass . Nice fire dot reticle .Zero'd quickly . On an Aero Precision build with a Ballistic Advantage barrel shot less than 1MOA with off the shelf ammo . Occasional flyer opened it up to 2MOA . Red dot is obviously much quicker acquisition , but for pinpoint application a little Leupold help works great . The only negative is the cheap bikini scope cover . The rubber feels kind of sticky , it's winter so I don't know what it will feel like come summer and 100 degree temps . I don't think I'll be using it .Overall a great little scope .

The Leupold VX-R 1-4X Patrol SPR scope is one of the very best in its class and price range. The glass is incredibly clear with an intense adjustable red dot for both eyes open target acquisition. The Special Purpose Reticle is fine haired -increasing accuracy utilizing unique hash points for consistent aiming. The 30mm tube allows generous light and a large field of view. 4X power is great for longer ranges while continuing to enable the user increased situational awareness. The exposed turrets are robustly built, hold securely and are great for quick adjustments. Optics Planet had the best pricing and fast shipping. I'm very pleased with product and store!
Pros:
- Bright, clear, accurate and affordable.

Have this scope on a custom 3006 700. Wanted to keep weight down. Glass is crystal clear, eye relief is great. As we all know, exposed turrets, not the best for hunting. But that was my choice. Very satisfied. Can shoot 3 inch groups to 300. Low light, it is great. Can't say enough. think alot of hunters over scope. If you hunt, shoot 400 yds or under. I recommend this scope.

This scope has the quality that you expect from Leupold. Very clear and the fire dot reticle works great in low light. Had been using an Eotech 552 with G33 magnifier on my Wilson AR. Would recommend for hog hunting.
Pros:
- High quality with great clarity.
Cons:
- You can tell the difference from a 1X optic during movement at close ranges.

The clarity of this optic is amazing and does a great job of capturing light.
I have seen reviews claiming the illuminated dot was off-center. Not the case with mine. multiple brightness settings for variois sitiation.
Only downfall is the knob to adjust magnification is small and can be difficult to grasp.
Have only had it a short time, but first imprrssions are great.

I have used Leupold scopes for over 40 years, both tactical and hunting scopes on My Department Robar Sniper Rifles and on my personal Tactical and Sporting Rifles. I purchased this scope utilizing an American Defense AD-Recon-5 Mount and placed the combined system on my Springfield Armory .223 Saint "Edge" Rifle. Everything has come to the level I would expect from Leupold, with the exception of the illuminating fire dot. On the first three settings the fire dot is fine; however as the fire dot intensity is increased the dot becomes more of a elongated burst or flare and it looses its symmetrical shape, and centered position in the reticle. I have tried this under several light conditions both day and night I have also had 2 - 3 associated check the scopes and they have all observed the same situation with the fire dot. Thus the grading of four stars is given! All other factors about the scope are excellent!

I purchased this for an AR it works great, was easy to zero. The fire dot works day and night. The Leupold SPR reticle is uncluttered, easy to use, directions were included. I shopped around before purchasing from Optics Planet, they had the best price. Optics Planet service was great, my scope arrived well packed in excellent condition and in the time my choice of shipping specified. I have always been happy with Leupold products.

I use this on my service rifle for NRA across-the-course matches. Clear and bright, easily adjusted for windage, elevation, and fire-dot brightness. The turrets have a positive and audible click when making adjustments, and always returns to zero. the re-settable knobs are helpful too.
Best Used for:
- patrol-style rifles and carbines.
