Goldenrod safe Dehumidifier
Dropped the humidity by 20%....I recommend this but be sure to buy the biggest one that fits in your safe. I needed to run two because my safe is huge.I was lucky my safe came equipped with outlets in the bottom already so install was easy.
Works Great
After a few years of keeping this thing plugged in my safe, I can honestly say that it works great.
When you open the safe, you can clearly tell that it's a few degrees warmer inside than the outside, and that's all you need to prevent condensation from forming on any metal or glass parts on the inside.
Obviously, the metal rod is hot to the touch, so that's not recommended. However, it isn't hot enough to damage the carpeting on the interior of the safe or any plastic/fabric parts that may come into contact with it.
So far, so good.

Works good for gun cabinet
Works great in my gun cabinet. Lowers humidity level and keeps ambient tempature decently warm in relativity to the house temp. I definitely recommend for gun cabinets and smaller safes. Seems there are more practical solutions for larger safes. Also be sure to not keep to close to rubber/plastic butt stocks and it does generate some heat which could cause deformation to parts that are touching or within real close proximity. But, all in all, I'm happy with it, would recommend it, and will buy more for gun cabinets and ammo cabinets.

Golden Rod
Delivered quickly and works as described. Installed easily and quickly. I use it in my gun safe and so far it has worked very well. My husband had several guns and I was afraid someone would steal them as they were in a gun cabinet with glass doors in the basement. Humidity was also a problem. Purchased a good gun safe and my son recommended the Golden Rod as he uses one in his gun safe. Very pleased.

Inop right out of the box
I was really looking forward to not having to recharge desiccant packs, but the rod doesn’t work straight out of the box. I suspect it’s the cheap connector they supply it with, will install a regular connector and, hopefully, get it working.

Even in storage room
I use these Golden rods in my safe and find them to be very useful for their intended use.Also I do have a storage area under the stairway going down to the basement perhaps 200 square feet. The larger 36 inch appears to be doing a good job keeping that dry also.

Does the job.
You can have polymer touching it and it won’t damage it, it’s hot to touch but not enough to burn. Does the job well. Installation was easy and I had no issues doing it by myself. Well made product. Totally recommend.

Goldenrod 36"
Put this in a huge closet and it has kept my humidity consistently in the low 40's. It is much easier to maintain than a regular dehumidifier, especially because it doesnt require emptying. It does its job and I would recommend go anyone looking into it.

I use them in both of my gun safes
They work great I havent had an issue. I have had 1 for about 3 years and I just bought a new one for my new safe. They work without needing to be touched no more cooking the silicone packets just plug them in and dont worry

Perfect temp
I was having alot of moisture problems in my safe that i installed in my garage so i purchased one of these and a humidity gauge and set it up in garage where its always cold and the rid keeps it at nice warm temperature not to warm and humidity dropped to normal percent so i could stop worrying about my firearms rusting or corrosion.should measure get right lentgh
