LWA Glock 21L threaded barrel

This barrel was purchased to replace a LWA 21L barrel with comp cuts atop which provided no greater accuracy or performance over an OEM G21 barrel. The old LWA 21L barrel with forward gas directed compensation ports burned the front sight dot right off! This purchased AlphaWolf 21L barrel has no comp cuts but is threaded to accept a muzzle mounted comp such as the Carver Comp. Fit and finish of this AlphaWolf barrel is excellent! Chamber is fully supported and should withstand the pressures of the 45 Super which is the ultimate planned use for this barrel.

No range firing tests performed to date. Test plans to include 45ACP with OEM recoil spring, 45+P with OEM and heavier recoil spring (e.g., 20-22#), 45 Super with heavier recoil spring, and muzzle compensated 45 Super with OEM recoil spring. Review updates on range performance to follow.

I have a gen 1 Glock with more miles and rounds through it that you would imagine. so a barrel swap in general is a good thing. now it will work with new a new piston can. cycles smoothly, works perfectly. no ammo limitations since its standard land-groove rifling.

Cons:
  • picked up a trace of oxidation on patch - but bright shiny now
  • feed ramp is not as large or polished as my old worn out barrel was

Excellent Barrel for the money

I know LW gets a bad rap from time to time but I have never (knock on wood) had an issue with any of their items. This barrel is no exception. Dropped right in my 45ACP assembled Glock slide (with LW internals btw) and worked like a charm.

I have put about 75 rounds down range with it and not a single hint of the "Glock mark" on the slide, so the finish is durable and looks stylish to boot.

Great compensator

The threaded barrel was great for me to add the muzzle brake to my Glock 21. It helped me with my shooting and muzzle control issues. I will definitely recommend this to everyone that has a similar situation of grouping shots. Thank you

Failure to feed every time.

Do not buy this. The feed ramp on the barrel is way different than an oem Glock barrel. It’s not smooth and there is a flat spot on it. I get a failure to feed after every shot. Also the tolerance is so tight that it’s difficult to put a bullet in the barrel even by hand. Poor machining quality.

Lone Wolf threaded barrel

The perfect match for my custom built G-17 . Went to the shooting range this weekend and shot 200 rounds through it . It performed flawlessly, it fed perfectly . It was sighted in with a pistol vise . It is extremely accurate shooting bulls eyes at 7 yards , 15 yards & 25 yards . The finish’s assures a barrel that will last for decades with proper care .

Great Barrel

Fits perfect with my slide and shoots great. It feeds well with all types of ammo that I have fed it and there have been no feeding issues. The black coating matches my aftermarket barrel perfectly .

Top notch Barrel.

Excellent product, precision type barrel. Runs great in my G21 Gen 4. Fluted to extract debris, I do however run Ammo Inc. Also Gyro Shock premium, Thanks to Eric @ Pew Pew Tactical for recommending this. .45 upgrades are a little hard to come by.

  • No thread protector styles or color choices that I could see.
