Most Helpful Positive Review Awesome Retro Part
Part was as expected. It installed easily and functions just like any forward assist. It looks fantastic on my retro carbine build. (Honestly it’s probably the coolest part on the whole rifle) The quality is there, no complaints.

Was a great fit for my retro build A1 looks more like the real deal And the cost wasn’t too bad for what I needed either the part looks like the original piece on the original A1 built back in the 1960s bought 2 of them other one for a 601 retro build already done just have to change the part out to complete it

Nice taste of classic on new build

by Chuck, from AZ, United States Written on August 7, 2022
Easy install, works great. Came pre built with roll pin. It went from the mail box to installed in under 30 minutes. Doing a piece by piece build and this was a nice taste of the original m16 Vietnam era rifle. Adds a conversation piece to the build.

best forward assist made

by jrb1981, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on December 11, 2020
I absolutely love these teardrop style forward assist. Even though my guns run smooth enough to never need them but whenever you do need it it does not hurt your hand. I will continue to buy these until they come up with the even more comfortable one. Optics Planet is great

Exactly what I wanted

by Dan, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on October 16, 2020
Yes its just a Forward assist what can you say. However I went out of my way to find a teardrop shaped forward assist. Seems that the standard anymore is the smaller round ones. I have big hand and built a 6.5 Creedmoor. I wanted a larger surface area for my thumb should i need to give it some extra oomf. Haven't had to use it yet but I'm sure function wise it work as well as any other. It was the size and shape i was after and it is perfect.
Pros:
  • A lot of surface area
Cons:
  • None that I can foresee
Best Used for:
  • big builds
