Not the brands fault, but the original design
This part is the same as all the rest of these things, IF you've seen ONE you've seen them ALL. The problem is this mil spec part is one of it's original design because it breaks too easily. The action/buffer impact sheers the tip off occasionally/eventually, so some people simply don't use them since they aren't essential. Other companies Like Heckler Koch have beefed up this pin to ameliorate the sheering problem, however this invites it's own set of problems because if you beef it up it's more likely to be struck by the buffer or to not be straddled by the bolt carrier and possibly cause...

Good quality product nice to have these around just in case. Best price I could find on them it’s nice to find parts like these for spares when you’re not trying to buy an entire LPK. Not much to say, works and doesn't break
Unknown on how I am to successfully review this due to its shear inability to be bad. Pretty hard to mess up this part unless you were to make it out of lead. Does it weigh more than a titanium version, sure. Does it add enough weight to consider shelling out $12 for a lighter version, not really. Works as it should and will last long enough to loose it like everyone does, buy a few to have laying around for the day your disassembling and you hear something rocket across the room. You will thank me.

Performs as expected
Arrived quickly, I installed in an ongoing build. Fit perfectly and held in buffer and spring as expected. It is hard to write 200 words about a buffer retainer so my only other words would be if you need spare buffer retainers order them from Optics Planet and the Luth-AR brand can't be beat for the price.
