Exactly what i was looking for
This is a very stable handgaurd for long range shooting. It rests very nice on sandbags with the wide flat bottom. Very rigid and stable. The inside diameter was large enough to fit my large clamp on adjustable gasblock. Balance is good and it didn't make the rifle to heavy. I like how it looks too. I would definitely recommend this and will be getting another.

Luth-AR Widebody handguard perfect for a bench rifle
Built an AR15 bench rifle for long range target shooting (prairie dog control), and needed a wide, flat handguard to ride the bag better. In the past I would attach a flat plate to the rifles handguard, but always a compromise. This was perfect. Although it comes with a barrel nut, the existing nut on the rifle worked fine. Since my rifle was already blueprinted and assembled and proven to be very accurate, not having to replace the nut was a bonus. A very heavy handguard but that’s what I wanted for the bench. I may pull it off and machine most of the pic rail off the top of it. I prefer the scope as low as I can go, but had to swap rings to about 1/4” higher for the objective to clear the guard.

- Would prefer minimum pic rail on the top.
