I have been casting for almost 40 years and had one of these stolen by a so-called friend. I have been using a 2-cavity and my brother talked me into getting this one. I am so glad he did as I can knock out the new bullets twice as fast. Pros: Makes great bullets!! Cons: None

I have several Lyman molds and most of them are 40 plus years old. Those drop great bullets. Unfortunately, my last three, a 429244, 429383 and this 429241 drop bullets that are .428 or less even with linotype. It should at least drop bullets at .429. Dissapointed with Lyman

I ordered this mold in anticipation of a week long casting session. It arrived with damage to the top surface of the mold. The factory had run the mold handle screws in tight and against debris pushing the top surface up like a teenagers zit. I returned the item and am currently waiting for a replacement. During the returning process I left a voice mail to Optics Planet. It was promptly returned EIGHT DAYS later??!!?? In the meantime I had discovered how to print a return slip and it was moving back to them.

I am disappointed with the quality control at Lyman for sending a damaged product out. Needless to say my casting session was ruined. Now I am painting the house and it will be months before I get a chance to sit at the silver stream.

Lyman 429421 4C Mold 245 grains

This mold cast beautiful bullets. It didn't take any time to break in. They are very accurate.
Pros: Accurate mold, easy to break in
Cons: slightly expensive
