Issues with supplied 10-32 screws.
Problem: There are 2 "10-32" screws and neither one had "heads" that would fit the contour (bevel) of the middle hole of the shim part. The "heads" sat above the shim & would not fit flush under the tang. This, of course, caused the "tang" portion not to fit flush over the shim part (like a see...

Fits 1980-made JM Marlin 1894 rifle perfectly
Well made, easily adjustable, looks great. I use it without any aperture insert; it works like a ghost ring rear sight. With a large brass bead front sight, the rifle is perfect for Cowboy Action Shooting where fast acquisition of large close targets is needed. If you are going to install it yourself, you need to be able to drill and tap a hole in the tang.

Lyman #2 Tang sight for my Marlin 39A
I have been wanting one of these and found it here for a great price . Watched a you tube video on installation. Im not really a finesse person but I bought the right tools 10/32 tap & 11/64 bit took my time and the only prob I Ran into was my back replacement screw was too long ( maybe because it was a 39a ). I shortened it but not enough it must be short enough to tighten down the stock. After a second shortening It was a great job . Dead on from the factory. Not even a tiny adj. needed . This is a GREAT product at a Great price.
