Most Helpful Negative Review Same hardness as the thin standard buttpad.
Nothing “enhanced” about this product. Hard as a golf ball. The holes added do nothing perceptible to soften the pad. Only buy if you need to add 0.7 inch to the length of pull to your “compact” adjustable stock! Pointless.

Great at mitigating recoil

I bought this to use on an AR-10, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped at reducing recoil. I ended up putting it on my AR-15 buttstock and the recoil is non-existent. A great purchase at a good price.

The MOE SL enhanced rubber buttpad is great if you need a little extra length of pull. The only downside is that the rubber is stiff so not much of an improvement over the stock rubber.

Hard as a Rock (nearly)

This is the hardest "rubber" I've ever experienced. Like, if you wanna knock someone out with a quick buttstock to the head, it will work. But it ain't gonna soften recoil at ALL.

Comfortable

Sometimes during long range sessions (and I mean LONG) my shoulder gets sore. Ok, I’m not a superhero, I admit it. This buttpad helps keep everything comfy. And it does seem quite rugged.

Fine for LOP but not for recoil

If you're looking at this to soften recoil, consider the Limbsaver instead (10829). This pad will give you a little more length of pull, but it's about as stiff as the stock pad. The limbsaver one is much softer.
