Doesn’t specify that it requires a round handguard cap, so if you have a triangular one like I did, then you’ll have to pay a gunsmith to swap them out to use this handguard. Magpul website says it’s only for the round cap, so this review is more for OP leaving necessary information out, than for the product. Outstanding handguard, much more slim and streamlined than the original MOE handguards, MLOK slots on the sides and bottom offer a lot of options, and it manages the heat well during long range sessions. Highly recommend!

Doesn’t specify that it requires a round handguard cap, so if you have a triangular one like I did, then you’ll have to pay a gunsmith to swap them out to use this handguard. Magpul website says it’s only for the round cap, so this review is more for OP than for the product. Works and looks good!

I replaced a quad rail on my M&P 308. Use a solid handguns removal tool and br careful with the gas block. All is good.

Does not fit triangular front sight assembly

Magpul has updated their description to include that this handguard does NOT fit triangular front A2 sight assemblies. Only the round ones. It is clear on their website but I can’t find that information on the Optics Planet website. All that to say, it doesn’t fit my BCM upper. So I’m going to try to return it.

Having never seen any of these MOE SL handguards in person, and in use, I took the leap and bought a set. (1) Cannot use these with a military sling mount on an Front Sight Base. (2) If you want to use the bayonet lug,,,forget that, you cant with the SL handguard. (3) Triangular handguard caps and these handguards are not fit friendly

fits a M&P-10 with factory gas block

Follow installation instructions. The installation will be super easy. This will fit a M&P-10 with factory gas block. It is a much more clean appearance than factory. This gives you more options to install accessories for low profile look.

magpul slimline hand guard.

T purchased the mid length version and mounted it on to a 16” pencil profile barrel. Looks great with an A2 front sight. It’s very lightweight but still is noticeably durable. Can’t go wrong with magpul! Can’t beat the price either…

Magpul Handguard

I have several of these magpul handguards in different colors for several of my builds. They have an aluminum heat shield inside. They fit well and are easy to install as long as you pick the right length according to your gas system and purchase the delta ring and hand guard cap for those who are unfamiliar with this setup. The m-lok holes are great for your accessories but beware when you tighten them down you will flair the plastic opening slightly which makes it a little harder to remove the m-lok accessory but not a big deal. Gives your rifle a modern look.

Handguard upgrade

Awesome handguard,looks and feels great.Fit and function 5 stars!Definitely would recommend this upgrade too anyone with an mid length AR. Take your time with installation.Its a tight fit and the delta ring can be hard to hold back.If you don't have a delta ring tool,I use a pair of channel locks with the rubber coated handles. Adjust so you can grip ring between handles,squeeze and pull down. You can get great leverage on the ring. Handguard will now be easy too get in place.
