Most Helpful Positive Review Solid light mount option
Tried out the off set magpul light mount, then tried this. I prefer the 6'oclock position this style offers and this mount fastens securely to the MLOK rail. You'll also need the light mount kit depending on your set up for your own light. Couldn't justify the extra expense of the aluminum, this ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not so good...
I have had this mount on my M4 for about two years with no problem, but I have never dropped my gun until now. When I dropped it the mount with my light popped off. From my research, M-loc is a somewhat rugged and dependable way to mount accessory’s, but personal experience proved otherwise.

Polymer vs Metal

by OR Highlander, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on August 19, 2024
A bit more was needed to get an effective fit. At less than the suggested 15lbs of torque the T-Nuts rotated out of position and did require an additional wrench to maintain their position while tightening down the screws. While the Mount will fit a 870 for grip at the 3 and 9 position it will not fit the 6 without modificatiof the forend.
Pros:
  • cost
Cons:
  • Mount a little finicky, but secure.

Great light/laser mount for SBRs/braced pistols. It helps mitigate shadows as well.

Works Great

by Nick, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on September 14, 2023
The Good: It pushes your light forward effectively, and out a ways, reducing/eliminating suppressor and muzzle shadow, especially on my rifle with a 16" barrel but only a 13.5" handguard. It is aluminum and sturdy. Looks nice. Mine came with pre-applied locktite on the screw threads.

The Bad: Not as much drip as an Arisaka.

Magpul Cantilever Rail

by Jb, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on March 21, 2022
It's worth the extra money to pick up the aluminium cantilever mount. This type of mount is key to maintaining a good grip on the hand guard while mounting a light. I like that I can run my thumb over the top of the mount, giving me a little extra something to maintain muzzle control, and it keeps the light out of the way of your support hand. I have two of these, one for an AR and one for my AK. I will buy one of these again for my next next carbine
