Zhukov Extended Handguard for Yugo M70 NPAP
I purchased this extended hand guard thinking it would fit my Yugo M70 NPAP. I was wrong. However, I liked the quality of the Magpul Zhukov so much that I made it work on my Yugo. It can be done with a little dremel work to the aluminum frame and the flanges on the metal piston assembly. The piston housing cover that comes with the hand guard will not work with a Yugo as it is too short. However, the lower hand guard will work fine with the original or aftermarket piston covers. Magpul Zhukov extended handguard
Nice fit and finish, ads a modern look and feel to an old gun. With the Zhukov stock she looks great. Now for a few Buba accessories, and TWS rail. 1 drawback, you got to cut lower handguard retainer off.

Beautiful and Sturdy
Wonderful handguard for my ak, it's sturdy and slick-looking. Just be ready cause it ain't light. One thing to note, however, if your ak has a front sling mount built onto the barrel you will have to get a dremel and lob it off.

Longer handgaurd option
At the end of the installation, the look is great. There were some minor annoyances with getting to that stage however.

Zhukov Extended Handguard Well Made for the AK47/AK74
First and foremost, I’m very happy with my purchase of this extended handguard made my Magpul. Installation was bit challenging if you don’t have a dremel tool. But if you’re a handyman you can install this with ease. Yes you will have to do some modification on your barrel, before you even try to purchase this, I recommend you watching YouTube videos just so you can familiarize yourself and get the hang of it. But once it’s installed, your AK47 will definitely feel like a new rifle. All I can say Magpul always excels on their products two thumbs up.

High Quality
Perfect fit for my WASR-3. Makes it look like it is worth something! The long hand guard has a finely finished aluminum heat shield that bolts to the barrel and fits snugly. You will be glad you did.

What do expect? It’s genuine magpul.
Typical made in America magpul quality. Piece looks great. I’m actualy using this on a kel-tec su16 and with a little work fits beautifully. I love magpul parts and use them where ever I can. Definitely dressed my gun up and added a lot of versility.

zhukov vepr
Still buying magpul for all my ak's and ar's . This one went on my 20 1/2 " vepr in 7.62x54r looks badass now .All done in magpul fde . Had to grind out aluim.clamps to fit larger barrle. THe hogue fde grip matches perfectly.

I was tired of the old pic rails I had on my Ak so after some research I found this rail system. I love everything about it. The hardest part was cutting the sling point off. But with all that being said I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a Ak upgrade.

“slight” fitting required
Well I purchased a century VSKA on a whim back in July of 2019, when shooting it I noticed that the hand guard got too hot to hold.... at least for me. My solution was the magpul Zhukov extended handguard in the Plum coloration. Having never owned an AK platform and doing little reading prior to purchasing one I assumed it was going to be easy to switch out the old one and put in this new one. That was not the case. I had to cut off the “dog collar” for the original forend, then cut the sling loop off the gas block, and finally I had to cut out a portion of the aluminum bedding block to make it all fit together. All together though it was much worth it, it’s very rugged and aesthetically pleasing. I will say though, my life is changing, I used to be an AR fanboy, now days I hang out in a green and red Adidas track suit with cheap smokes and vodka.
