Zhukov extended handguard for yugo m70 npap - Magpul Industries Zhukov Extended Handguard, AK47/AK74

I purchased this extended hand guard thinking it would fit my Yugo M70 NPAP. I was wrong. However, I liked the quality of the Magpul Zhukov so much that I made it work on my Yugo. It can be done with a little dremel work to the aluminum frame and the flanges on the metal piston assembly. The piston housing cover that comes with the hand guard will not work with a Yugo as it is too short. However, the lower hand guard will work fine with the original or aftermarket piston covers. I shot the Yugo with stock in place for 60 rounds with nothing vibrating loose. This is my favorite set up for the AK platform. I would caution all AK operators to be careful not to cut in to your barrel when removing the front hand guard retainer. This is done using a cutting wheel with Dremel tool. This is a solid upgrade that allows long armed shooters like myself to stretch out for more comfort and stability when shooting.
