Not a whole lot to say. Those that know the AR platform know that the Mil-Spec dust cover was designed by the same people that wrote the US tax codes. This product reduces weight and is far simpler. Found durability just fine after about 500 rounds (DDM4V7). Fair priced.

Near perfect
If you want to get rid of your mil spec dust cover and protect your upper, this is the one to replace it with. It’s one of the easiest parts on a rifle to install because of its design. I’ve replaced all of my metal covers with these. The only drawback is just the visual appeal. It is thick and it shows. Approximately 4mm thick. Could be thinner, but that’s just an aesthetic preference.

Bad reviews are putting it on wrong
This worked perfectly on the cheapest upper I own. I think the bad reviews are trying to install it in the closed position, which puts the little spring-loaded tab on incorrectly and doesn’t let it spring open. Put it on in the closed position and it will work flawlessly. Great for when you forgot to put one on before installing your handguard �

I got a new error precision upper in the mail today was playing around moving parts from one up or to the other and thought I'd try the magazine port cover on this new upper and it does the Magpul does work

Doesn't fit! I also have a ultralight to a tactical upper that had a strike industries polymer went on it but the Magpul doesn't fit,
If you're running other than mil-spec you're probably going to have fitment problems so just research it before you buy it
And to be really blunt I'm pretty sure I could break this just like my strike industries one they're not as durable

Simple as can be
Magpul had done it again with this amazing and super easy to install port cover. It takes a matter of seconds compared to the many minutes it takes to install a factory port cover. Definitely going to be buying more of these in the future
