Not a whole lot to say. Those that know the AR platform know that the Mil-Spec dust cover was designed by the same people that wrote the US tax codes. This product reduces weight and is far simpler. Found durability just fine after about 500 rounds (DDM4V7). Fair priced.

Dust Cover
Magpul MAG1206 dust cover in FDE is a nice replacement for the gem tin spring loaded dust cover on the Spikes lower receiver. Easy install and I was looking for a dust cover that wouldn't mark and scratch the receiver every time it slams open. I would highly recommend this Magpul product.

Near perfect
If you want to get rid of your mil spec dust cover and protect your upper, this is the one to replace it with. It’s one of the easiest parts on a rifle to install because of its design. I’ve replaced all of my metal covers with these. The only drawback is just the visual appeal. It is thick and it shows. Approximately 4mm thick. Could be thinner, but that’s just an aesthetic preference.

Bad reviews are putting it on wrong
This worked perfectly on the cheapest upper I own. I think the bad reviews are trying to install it in the closed position, which puts the little spring-loaded tab on incorrectly and doesn’t let it spring open. Put it on in the closed position and it will work flawlessly. Great for when you forgot to put one on before installing your handguard �
