Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to send any yet but the match up and looks of everything is spot on. No blemishes, all the gauge checks are in the green, & the operational movements are where they need to be. Hoping to get it broken in within the next week of July 4th.

First 50 rounds with 3 exomags had small issues. Then it went downhill. Not reliable at all, constantly jam, and multiple bullet set backs. Backplate cracked in half. Parts were sent to repair the issue with pretty decent customer service. Got them replaced parts. Never range day first half topped mag went fine, then same issues as above then add the scary part of having an out of battery discharge. With my hand gripping the lower. Now the upper is bulging it if the sides and my mag is toast.

Have had a lot of fun with the mat-9, only reason I didn’t give a five star was because fit and finish weren’t 100% dialed in, IMO. A small bent portion in the aluminum where the studs come down to attach to the lower bugs me but doesn’t affect anything but visually… probably just the one I got, hopefully isn’t an issue with all or any of the others they made. Charging handle is a little low tech… just a plastic block that in the upper that racks bolt back, it works just fine tho.

Quality seems like it might be an issue. Matadors QC certainly is as well. Firing pin was broken on arrival, not ideal. Excitement and hope is fading. I'll update when the new pin is recieved and rounds have gone down range

Terrible uppers, broken firing pin, grade -1 Titanium. FTF, FTC, FTE, you name it this POS has done it. BOTH THE MONTIGO AND THE MAT 9 look amazing, but they are such junk.... Colt adapter, built 4 extractors.... Why? Good Question, Nothing works, Bought a MATADOR ARMS MAGX P320 adapter, lol didn't even accept the P320 Magazines, for some dumb reason it accepts my P226 Mk25 and Legion Magazines???? Why can't people just tell it like it is. I'm telling you this upper is garbage. Buy a Centry Arms MP5, save yourself the 1400 i have into this build. I am a 17th Airbourne Corps, Combat Vetran, i have shot everything from M777s to MK25s to M102s.... This thing is absolutely a huge waste of time.

Great upper, well designed from a Veteran owned company. Questions get answered quickly from David. Ordered a foldable charge lever and upgraded charging block from HB industries and just love this set up. Can use on multiple lowers (check out Matadors lowers, a little spendy but absolute works of art!) pair with a suppressor and Franklin binary trigger and you have a fun pcc that just eats all types of ammo you throw at it. I bought both the regular Mat9 and the Mat9k and I couldn’t be happier. Super reliable and has an adjustable extractor to use with almost any type of 9mm AR lower or regular AR lowers with conversion block, colt, Glock, MP5, scorpion, you name it if you already have any of these guns set up your lower to work with these mags and bam you can share mags with what you already own. Pretty much the same principle as an HK UMP heavy bolt blowback so there is a little more recoil than a roller delayed system but also a lot more simple and therefore reliable in my opinion. Catch these on sale, use a coupon and some bonus bucks and you will get a steal of a deal and will not be disappointed. The HB industries charging block is a 30$ upgrade that locks itself in place when the bolt is locked back and is well worth it just in function alone. Highly recommended. You can build an entire gun for cheap or Gucci it out either way it turns out awesome.

Great quality upper, the grey is darker than expected but other than that it functions flawlessly so far. Great buy

Hands down the best option if you're looking to build a PCC. Easy operations and very accurate. The monolothic upper is a huge pluse and makes building a PCC very easy and straightforward. I would highly recommend this receiver to anyone in the market to build their own.

I love everything about this mat9 upper, except for the internal guide rod is plastic and I've been hearing around online that people's are breaking after not that many rounds. I haven't shot mine yet, waiting on the matador glock lower in fde, so I'm worried about the longevity of the plastic guide rod
