Ruger American Gen2 308
I purchased this magazine as an extra for my Ruger American Gen2 chambered in .308 and it fits perfectly. The bottom of the magazine is almost flush with the bottom of the rifle and functions flawlessly. I definitely prefer the MDT magazine to the Ruger magazine that came with the rifle.

just a bit short
It's just a little too short to fit in the oryx chassis for the Ruger American short action. Other than that, feeds and functions well
excellent fir
Used this to replace a 5 round mag that came with my rifle. This fits much more flush and will be great when hunting.

Do you own a Howa 1500 Hogue S/A?
Buy this magazine and the MDT aluminum bottom metal for your Howa 1500 Hogue S/A. They are the single best upgrade made for these rifles. I swear the combo took over a lb off my wife's firearm. The mag fits flush, functions flawlessly, and is very light. There's a slight trick to loading. Don't hunt, get a 5 or 10rd mag. Looks awesome

Not as useful as I'd hoped
MDT makes quality products, no doubt. This flush fit magazine slides into your rifle like a dream but removing it is a nightmare.
It is functionally, too flush. Too fit.
This three rounder is obviously for hunting and probably backpack hunting because it is so slim and so light.
But the value in a removable magazine, instead of an internal one, is you can REMOVE it.
Removing this mag is annoyingly tough because it sits so flush.
It loses by winning. I kinda don't recommend it.

Perfect aics mag for hunting
These aics magazines are perfect for hunting since they do not rattle around like metal aics mags that extend below the bottom metal. They feed perfectly with all of my aics rifles that also have different brand bottom metals which is the most important thing for me. They are totally flush fit, silent, and feed perfectly. Everything I hoped they would be.
Pros:
- Feeding, Silent, and flush fit
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Aics hunting

MDT superiority
MDT makes some of the best aftermarket components across the board. Well thought out and masterfully executed. These mags are no exception to that rule. They function perfectly and sit more flush than a hinged floor plate. I use this mag nestled in a Grayboe M5 bottom metal, 308 Win rifle. Good stuff!
Pros:
- Quality
- cost
- Function
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting
- lond distance game shooting

Perfect Fit
I wanted a flush fit mag for a .308 Savage 110 with a Magpul Hunter stock. Surprisingly the MDT mag fits absolutely perfect in the Magpul mag well. Its sits flush and tight and functions perfectly. I am very happy about this. The price is a bit steep for what it is, but it works, and fits great for my application.

flush magazine for Springfield Waypoint 2020 in 6 Creedmoor
Long search, looking for a flush fit three round magazine for my Springfieldwaypoint2020 in 6 Creedmoor . Needed the replacement because the five round magazine that came with the rifle was loose and rattled and not handy for hunting. The MDT was a perfect fit . It drops and releases even when empty.Feeds flawlessly.

Cons:
- None for me

nice and compact
These mags are crazy lightweight and compact. They are only about 1/8” below the latch point and only 1.4oz. Perfect for hunting rifles that take aics mags.

Best magazine for Springfield Waypoint 2020 (.308/6.5CM)
I was vigorously hunting for a magazine fix for my Waypoint 2020 in 6.5CM. The Magpul mag was not cutting the mustard, it constantly misfed. I tried the Hawkins Hunter mag as well which worked but not as well as this MDT inline 3-round mag which seats flush and is better in my opinion for a hunting bolt action. Love this mag, my only complaint is it can be hard to get out of the well when you are trying to drop it and it’s empty.
Pros:
- Flush fit, in-line feed
Cons:
- Hard to eject when empty
Best Used for:
- hunting

Perfect for Ruger American Gen 2
The mag that comes with the Ruger American Gen 2 lacks quality, it’s also bulky and protruding right where it’s natural to hold the rifle when walking with it. This MDT magazine doesn’t sit quite flush but pretty close. The rifle Feels much better in the had with this magazine, much better quality, and feeds well! Definitely recommend!
