MDT Field Stock
This thing is solid. The forend won’t flex into the barrel, MDT has added an internal support that helps prevent this. Also, no need for new bottom metal for magazines, it’s already built in, saving $. And, an adjustable cheekpiece that allows the bolt to be removed without hitting it!
field stock with bergara ridge carbon
Iv had a bergara ridge carbon in 308 for a couple years now and have never been able to get it so consistantly shoot under 1 inch. It was never terribly bad. But would fluctuate from 1 inch to 1.75 inch groups. A supressor helped a little but not allot. I put that rifle in the mdt field stock and it just shot 8 groups with 2 different types of ammo under an inch. 2 of those groups where 0.3. It does add a little weight over the factory stock but its worth it to me for the accuracy gain.

MDT Fieldstock
Nice stock and very comfortable. Was having issues with my rifle shooting terrible groups with factory stock but the MDT fixed that. Stock is not heavy but very sturdy. Barrel 100% cannot touch down the entire barrel. My magpul PMAG magazine works with the MDT and 0 issues with feeding problems. Only gave 4stars bc I did have to grind down the front bolt that connects the stock to the receiver. It was to long and was catching the lug on my bolt when closed. After grinding it down no issues. Simple fix. For the money it’s a hard one to beat!

Completely underwhelmed
The front end is painfully sloppy and flexible. The mag release is difficult to manipulate from behind the rifle (compared to other options). This is an acceptable hunting stock (yep, a straight up "Field" stock. It is not, in any way, a precision stock. With a couple small tweaks it could be great.

The stock I received was for wrong firearm brand. The box had the correct item number, but the stock had a different number and did not fit my 700 acton
Not OP fault, but their CS as very responsive and set up a return. I contacted MDT about it, but it’s been crickets.
I have a KRS stock on a savage, so MDT makes great stocks.
So I’ll give OP five stars, and MDT lower.
