great sight, always on
The site is awesome and works very well. Literally zeroed in out of the box on my AR platform. I ordered the 4.3 bull’s-eye and love it. Grouping’s are very tight at 50 to 100 yards. Only drawback is if you’re shooting from a dark covered area out into bright sunlight, the recital is pretty washed out, so I ordered the lens and flash guard for this. And although that worked very well minus the flash guard even with the lens tuned all the way out it’s still shaded the site window so I started looking for other options and found the mem 21 light emitting attachment, and this is awesome, even shooting out from a dark place to a bright sunlight, one twist to the dial, I get full recital, it does not matter how bright and sunny it is nice and bright, it’s only a $30 part takes a CR 2032 battery and makes this site bulletproof.

Specific use case
The irons sights are no more usable in the night than in the day. The main optic does work as intended, but is not usable when aiming into a brighter area like from inside to outside. The reticle gets completely washed out. The optic is sturdy and built well but falls in a niche category that wasn't for me. Another thing about the reticle itself, I got the X reticle and it was stupid tiny. I was expecting a larger reticle for the X.
Pros:
- No batteries needed
Cons:
- reticle wash out
Best Used for:
- range toys

I tried very hard to like this sight
Good things: holds zero, durable construction, great reticle, easy to range, easy to zero, good glass, no batteries.
Not so good things: reticle can disappear in certain conditions.
The best example I can give is shooting this on a range at 4pm in the afternoon facing away from the sun under a lean to. In these conditions, the reticle all but disappears against a solid black silhouette target at 100 yards. I even bought the aftermarket REM21 illuminator that is powered by a CR2032 battery. This fires LED light directly into the light collector and has 11 settings of brightness. There were just instances in low light that the reticle just disappeared and made the sight basically useless.
