Most Helpful Positive Review Best enclosed emitter pistol optic of 2024!
Coming from someone who has been carrying concealed for over 15 years, on various pistol platforms, I have recently used or been using a variety of red dots on my carry pistols including Trijicon RMR, RMRcc, RMRHD, have also been using the ACRO P2, Holosun EPS Carry, 509T, 507C, along with the Vorte...

Most Helpful Negative Review Another swing and a miss for Meprolight...
I wrote another review for the MPO-DS which is a micro RDS for the RMSC foot print. That unit suffered from bad glass + dot clarity and had horrible auto-brightness settings that rendered the unit unusable IMO. This EPS has different issues that might be overlookable, but overall are deal-breakers ...

Buy literally anything else

by Donald Tingley, from FL, United States Written on January 1, 2026
This is by far the worst handgun optic I've used. The shake awake is nowhere near sensitive enough, I can draw the gun from the holster and the dot still isn't on. The battery life is abysmal and more than likely takes a different battery than any of your other optics. As mentioned by others, the parallax is horrendous. The tint of the glass makes it absolutely unusable with night vision, it's literally a black box with a dot in it. And the most obvious downside, Israel.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • everything
Best Used for:
  • Not a single thing

Sight is good, but their customer service is not

by locoguitar, from TX, United States Written on June 14, 2025
Sight developed a small chip in lower front edge of glass, maybe a shell ejection or something else. No damage to the aluminum housing and no marks around the chip. Sight has not been abused. The sight still works, but condensation gets into middle of the sight.
I used the Email portal for Mepro , no response. Called 2x no response.
As of now Customer service sux. we shall see, been 7 days.
Parallax is less of a problem than w my Holosun eps Carry. i like the sight, but Cusomer Service is MIA.
The Mepro open emitter is good on my other pistol. no complaints.

product failed in just months, meprolight CS is terrible

by mynamejeff, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on June 8, 2025
This dot turns off under recoil and dry fire randomly. Reached out to their cs and they responded days later saying to replace the battery (which I had already tried) then never responded again. Left with a piece of garbage. Buy something else.

Small Optic RMSC footprint

Looks great on a small frame slide. Works good. Is it a must-have? Only time will tell that, but so far, so good.

not installed yet

by Nate, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on March 25, 2025
The included mounting plate is too small to fit on the P365 I have. Currently waiting for a G19 clone slide to be milled for the plate. The RDS itself seems built pretty well. My copy was made in the Philippines. I haven't messed with all the features, but changing the reticle is very simple. The manual that comes in the box is very descriptive with clear graphics, so once the RDS is mounted, I'm expecting an easy time through getting it set up and zeroed.
Pros:
  • lightweight, nice size window for size, side battery tray, secure mounting system, enclosed WX resistant
Cons:
  • mounting plate possibly mis-sized, proprietary plate, hard to find aftermarket
Best Used for:
  • small frame pistol, if user would prefer RDS that is not thicker than slide

Checks Every Box

by DPO, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on November 6, 2024
Israeli quality. Excellent price for enclosed emitter especially considering reticle choices. Weight on Glock 43x negligible. Height above bore is no issue. Circle dot reticle is exact size and pattern I need. No effect on pistol function. Good to go.
Pros:
  • Israeli product
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Any and all accurate shooting

Just pay 100 dollars more for a real sight

by Lio, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on October 11, 2024
After using the Mepro Pro S for about a month, I’ve noticed several significant issues. The parallax is the worst I've encountered in any enclosed pistol red dot, making it feel far from a true 1x optic. Additionally, there's a noticeable reflection in the glass caused by the glue used to seal the front lens, which creates a large horizontal white line in the center of the sight picture when the optic is tilted down about 20 degrees.

Another drawback is Mepro’s decision to design a proprietary mounting plate, which severely limits the optic’s versatility. The plate itself is surprisingly heavy, and its thickness causes the optic to sit higher on the slide. This makes using any adapter below the factory plate impractical. While the Mepro Pro S shows promise as a first attempt, there's significant room for improvement.
Pros:
  • Cheap
Cons:
  • everything else

Perfect for the pricepoint

by ddoming243, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 9, 2024
Competing with Trijicon and Holosun is not easy, so we. Red to understand the balance in price point and quality. I feel ver comfortable paying under 300 for this quality piece. Mounted well on my G19
