Most Helpful Positive Review Awesome Conversion Kit!!
I purchased this because at my age I have a very shaky left hand and I wasn't always on target when shooting my G17. I took this out to the range and immediately was consistently hitting a 35 yd plate. For giggles I went for a 98 yd plate and hit it on the first try! This brace is so stable, I don't...

Most Helpful Negative Review Glock didn't fit
Don't buy this product unless you are 1000% sure it fits your weapon. I googled so many times to see if my glock model 40 10 mm fit this chassis. Every site said yes. Well it doesn't. Do your homework before you purchase this

Won’t work with TWO different Glocks

by Kevin, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on January 15, 2026
Tried this product with a Glock 34 GEN 5 would not function;
failed to feed, short cycling and slide seem to be hanging up. This is probably due to the slide, dragging on the front of the frame of the Glock as the rear beaver tail lock on the MX 1 moved the rear of the gun in an upward fashion, approximately a 16th of an inch, was told this was normal by Meta. Then tried a Glock 23 GEN 3 only to find the same firing situation, a single shot semi automatic. Meta could not provide an answer other than it could’ve been the guns both of which function flawlessly outside of the chassis. I’m a law-enforcement firearms instructor of 21 years and am a certified Glock armor.
Guns are sound and in perfect working order until the chassis is attached.

Bottom line buy at your own risk, my advice stay away from it, it is a waste of money.
Mine is on the way back to optics planet.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Turn your SIM automatic into a single shot
Best Used for:
  • doorstop

GARBAGE, DONT BUY

by Elijah, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on December 30, 2025
1. Shot 25 rnds of 9mm and the shoulder rest broke off despite buying the metal reinforced stock because the internal piece of metal didn’t actually go into that aspect of the stock and because the metal screw boss had been over tightened and that caused it to essentially be pullout of the plastic horizontal pc of the stock. 2. Have sent back for full refund and no acknowledgment of UPS shipping/receipt or refund 3. While cleaning my Glock I noticed that the polymer pieces in front of the metal guide for the slide had been fractured on both sides (= +/- 350 - 400 $ fix) 4. All in all GARBAGE THAT DAMAGED MY GLOCK!! DONT BUY THIS!!

1st Gen work in progress

by Bob, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on December 15, 2025
Charging handle needs to be made more robust, especially plastic loop part that comes in contact with pistol slide. CAA MCK is on their 3rd gen charging handle you can buy and retrofit your existing mck, hopefully Meta Tactical does same thing in near future. Stock Brace is a bit wobbly, good news is you can buy upgraded all aluminum brace for $ 90 approx from Meta. NO TRIGGER safety, which means carbine range toy only at this point. Gen 1 is not suppressor compatible, assuming next gen will address. Compact size is much better than MCK s and some metal inserts in plastic meta tac frame frt and back gives it more rigidity=better accuracy along with top metal rail like later MCK s. Plastic inserts that hold pistol in place inside meta frame appears as cheaply made as MCKs.... so once again range toy.... but a fun range toy!
Pros:
  • Fun Range toy
  • multiple Glk pistols w/ various plastic adapter
  • Fun range toy w/ several diff Glk models.
Cons:
  • No trigger safety like real carbines.
  • No suppressor option
  • wobbly brace , but can be upgraded for $90+.
  • Cheap plastic insert holds pistol in place
Best Used for:
  • Range only

Meta tactical mx1

by Sooner87, from OK, United States Written on December 7, 2025
This thing is sweet! Bought it for my Ruger rxm. Nice to be able to have a regular carry pistol that can be converted to a pdw easily and the chassis is lightweight and has a very small footprint when folded. Overall very pleased with this purchase!

G17 + MX1 = Badass

by Walnutz, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on November 16, 2025
I've been interested in doing a conversion kit for one of my Glocks for quite some time, but have never been sold on the kits the have come and gone over the years. Then Meta Tactical rolled this bad boy out and I couldn't help myself. Picked up the accessory kit, put a vortex optic on it and I've been melting through 9mm since. Does dirty up the gun so make sure to keep that In mind.
Reliability with the Glock 17 in chassis has been 100% thus far. Currently a range toy but could make a good home defense option if reliability continues to prove good.

Charge handle design flawed

by Danny, from Constanța, Romania Written on November 3, 2025
The charging "horseshoe" that is inside and pulls back on the Glock slide broke after just 1 magazine. The design seems flawed, as the plastic U shaped "charging mechanism" sits directly in front of the barrel and takes the blast from every shot. They are lightly built and I can t see how they would last being built of that material. I broke the original after 15 rounds, then had a friend make me one out of carbon fiber on his 3D printer and that broke as well after 10 rounds. It seems only a metal piece would be strong enough to take the blast without breaking. Great concept but they obviously didn t do their product testing long enough

by vic, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on October 28, 2025
I love this product however this product broke after just 50 9mm round. The plastic piece that attaches to the slide on my glock 17 broke. The charging handle no longer works.

Way to much fun!

by Glock Professor, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on September 21, 2025
This is actually my second MX-1. I enjoyed shooting the first one so much that I bought another one. Both have Glock 17’s in them, one an gen 3 and the other a gen 5 and they both have a Holosun ARO on top. These make shooting a pistol a lot of fun. Not to mention the accuracy and stability you gain with it. Planning to buy another one for my dad soon.
Pros:
  • well built
Cons:
  • None in my opinion!
Best Used for:
  • Anything!
