This plate is outstanding. Mesa easy to install sites keeps the slides safe. I do recommend this plate

Having the correct shoe to hold the slide in place is great. No more damaged sights. My old sight press damaged a Kimber sight so I had to replace it. The new press with shoes that hold everything securely makes it much easier to do. I would recommend this to anyone.

The entire MGW sight tool and changeable shoes make quick work of doing site swaps. I like that the shoes make the tool gun model specific and it’s not some universal tool claiming to do it all. Price shouldn’t be an argument or complaint when it comes to working on your firearms so suck it up and buy the right tool for the job.

I have an older P229 with the half height slide serrations and this works flawlessly in my MGW Sight Pro tool. I thought I would post this so if anyone else out there has one of these gems and is looking to upgrade their sights, I'm telling you it worked perfectly for me. Just remember to reverse the sight tool's upper half for rear and front sight removal/installation.

This plate does NOT fit the FN-545. I purchased it thinking it would fit both my FNX-45 Tactical and the new FN-545 MRD, but no luck. It's not a total loss, as I can use it for the FNX-45.

Was a better deal to buy this shoe as a package with the sight press but could not get what I wanted this was the best option available looks like a quality tool

Some of you might balk at the price tag on this equipment, however, what I have learned over the years is that I like to keep my firearms in excellent functional working order as well as in pristine cosmetic condition. If you’re ok just using a punch and don’t mind a few dings in the slide or sight posts, this isn’t for you. If you have several firearms and you frequently change sights and like the ability to do that yourself, consider this tool. The sight tool and accompanying shoe are fantastic pieces of equipment and I am consistently installing my sights as well as or better than any gunsmith and I own the equipment which is a quality tool specifically designed to achieve this purpose. It does exactly what it is intended to achieve, and I haven’t scuffed or scratched a slide, nor dinged or dented a sight. I’m not a gunsmith, but I like quality tooling that is fit to achieve it’s intended purpose and this is just that. The tool what it is designed to do, I can’t find a fault here. The only complaint you might find is from those persons with one firearm looking to do a one time sight change. If that’s you, you probably can’t justify the purchase. Buy this if you have a few guns, appreciate great equipment, and enjoy being able to change sights on your own.

A most when using the MGW sight pusher on a Springfirld Hellcat. The Shoe Plate keeps the slide secured in the tool while pushing the sight in and out of the slide. this makes the MGW tool a more safe and efficient than the cheaper sight pushers.

The MGW Sight Tool is top notch and the Glock shoe plate fit perfectly. The sight was a tight fit, but the tool and plate made the work easy. I highly recommend this tool and shoe plate system. A must have.
