This is a solid floating handguard. Smooth install and great look!Everything came together well and it has preformed great for many rounds. I would buy it again. It is light wieght but, it is still fairly heavy since it is a long one.

I’m a big guy, with big hands. Was worried this rail would feel too small for me. But it feels perfect! I’ve found that if I don’t need to accommodate a supressor under the fore end, slim and light is the best bet.

Best lightweight handguard for the money in my opinion. Fits like a glove and feels good in the hand. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a quality lightweight handguard without spending tons of money.

Very impressed with how well built this free float handguard made by Midwest Industries. I can see why it is so popular now. I liked it so much I bought another one for my other AR. This thing is durable and light weight and truly makes my boom stick look even sexier.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- durable
- well made

Does a great job, super light. Would be nice to have a little deeper grooves on the actual barrel nut to keep from stripping. Ultra thin profile, very sturdy. Slight interference from hand guard clamp with front takedown pin.

Just be aware you cannot use the anti rotation bit for a billet upper. You can still make it work but it will rely on the barrel nut like other freefloats. Also dont use the green glue until the very end when you are finalizing install. Its not locktight for the nuts.

I finally purchased this Midwest hand guard.. Now I know why it is so popular. Really has a good look , I like the finish on this hand guard, not over done with matte finish. Definitely light weight. Bolt up nice to Seekins billet lower. My favorite handrail so far and I have used many! would recommend.

This is a great rail if you are looking for the following:
Lightweight (just over 8 ounces)
Reasonable amount of M-LOK mounting points
Strength and studiness
Very attractive price point
Stylish appearance
The plethora of M-LOK mounting points is great. To achieve its lightness, M-LOK is only available at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock position. This isn't a bad thing.
The multiple quick detach points embedded make this rail even better. Midwest Industries has been very smart in making plenty of QD points available.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Sturdy
- Strong
Best Used for:
- Lightweight carbine builds

Great customer service on a very lite weight slim handguard. Take a lot of unneeded weight and bulk off your AR. Very easy to install with a torque wrench and a vice. The Mlok is very user friendly with limiting weight and being able to customize the rail system you prefer.

The color is about 3 shades lighter than Magpul FDE which I was trying to match. It’s about the same color as my docker khakis. Well made and sturdy, easy to install. Hardest part of the instal was getting the factory barrel nut off.
Cons:
- Matches my khakis, not FDE
