Great Brake, Better Price
I've now purchased 2 of these brakes, and I can't say enough good things about them. They reduce felt recoil and make follow-up shots much quicker. Yes, they're loud. No, I mean LOUD. But I wouldn't say they're any louder than other brakes I've used on a .308. Fit and quality are great, but the finish (at least on the two I've purchased) seemed a bit lacking. Since I use my rifles and don't much care how they look, it doesn't bother me a bit.
good price works as expected

Muzzle brake
My Midwest muzzle brake arrived promptly and worked as it should and was half the price of the same product at my gun store.

Must for 7.62
Love it! Used on an 18" 7.62x39 ar/ak build. This break helps tame the recoil of this light rifle. It was overgassed, so we reduced it with a new block, this fixed the action along with a t2 heavy buffer, but sent more gas out the front making for a jumpy rifle. The barrel had come with the standard crappy A-2 style flash hider. As soon as we replace with this is was a different gun. Be warned that it does bark, so if you are in close lanes the folks to your sides will not be as impressed. It allows for faster follow ups and measurably smaller groups in combination with things like binary triggers or if you are blessed to have FA.
Pros:
- looks $exy
- does as it promises
Cons:
- Loud for those around you

Great brake
I put this on a 6.5 Grendel build and I love it! The guy sitting next to you at the range wont like it but that is beside the point. Very effective brake at taming recoil and it looks great on the rifle (lets be honest it has to look cool right?). Once again Midwest has put out a great product at an awesome price. I will be ordering the 556 version for an up coming build.

Functional with good looks
I bought thin muzzle break for a ruger american predator in 308...a gun for my very petite daughter so i would feel comfortable taking her elk hunting. Like i said shes small and the light weight 308 does pack a punch. After the addition of the muzzle break it cut recoil darn near in half...but please wear hearing protection...it baffles me how much louder it is. Since hearing protection is always used not a problem.
Pros:
- Less recoil
Cons:
- Deafening

Fun muzzle break!
This muzzle break is made very nice. The reason I call it fun? It pushes the gas and smoke outwards, side to side. Not up or down. If you shoot any distance you can watch the bullet go down range. On a 300 blackout shooting subs, you can watch bullet impact.
Pros:
- Value, American made.
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Fun guns and relieving gas

FANTASTIC!!
Very effective muzzle brake, plus it looks cool (rule #1). It has a place for the wrench to torque it on, and came with the crush washer for install. I LIKE IT! First chamber is larger than the second, i only wish it had vents on top for more muzzle rise mitigation.
