Almost perfect - Midwest Industries Gen2 Two-Piece Free Float Handguard

I wanted this item because I like the traditional quad rail but I wanted the top to be one solid rail, not separated by the delta ring. Well, the upper on my rifle and top rail do not match. They touch, but the top rail of the hand guard is slightly lower than the upper. Its not much but it is noticeable, and could interfere with a scope mount that spanned both parts. It could be the upper of my rifle that is out of spec and not the fault of the Midwest Industries hand guard. I am not going to take rifles apart just to test that theory. It works fine for what I need, I am just disappointed that it doesn't match up perfectly.
