Poor fitment
Fast shipping and decent machining but will not with my marlin 1894s limited with forend cap. Did require buying the 336 adapter and modifying it to work. Mounting holes on handgaurd were an inch too far forward.
Handguard does not fit Marlin 1895 "CB" (26" octagon barrel).
I had been looking for some way to install a red dot sight on my rifle, that would not ruin the finish of the receiver. The Midwest Industries handguard seemed like a good idea, at the time. Although, It lacked a Picitanney rail, it still had the M-Lock slots, that I thought I could adapt a red dot sight to. Will not work.
Somewhere, in either Midwest's information, or Optics Planet site, it should be stated that the handguard, will not work on the octagon barreled rifle. Round barrel carbine, Yes....octagon barrel rifle, no.

Great addition to my Marlin 336a 30-30
This is great addition to my Marlin 336 30-30 that was handed down to me by my grandfather. Brought a new modern look to an old reliable gun. Install went smoothly and took approximately 30 minutes. I found using a small flat screwdriver with a magnetic tip worked extremely well for installing the spacer washers that were difficult to reach.

New look for an older rifle
This hand guard mounted up with no problems. Gave the rifle the look I was after. Seems quality as far as I can see. Fit was perfect. If for any reason you have problems there are some videos on YouTube that will help you out. Price was great as always with planet optics, as well as timely shipping. Oh and remember that this does not work with the barrel banded rifles. Works with the fore grip cap style.

Awesome Rail
Never had a bad experience with a Midwest Industries product. This Marlin 1895 rail is no different. Install took less than 5 minutes, fit and finish is outstanding. Rail is very secure on the gun and the over all hold ability of the rifle is better.

Looks and fits great!
I purchased this hand guard for a .357/.38 Marlin rifle with the hopes to be more like my Call of Duty character... I also needed the M-Loc ability to mount this jammer I constructed out of outdated recycled electronics to help combat this drone problem I got... they're relentless! So you do yourself a favor if ever caught up in this rare but real situation a grab yourself a Midwest Industries hand guard!

Fits 1972 Marlin 336 Lever Action 30-30 Perfectly with Adapter
After removing the hand guard barrel band from my 1972 Marlin 336 30-30 and replacing it with the Midwest Industries MI-MAR336A Marlin® 336 Hand Guard Adaptor, this hand guard fit the remaining holes perfectly without modifications. It looks sleek and even seems a bit lighter. The 1895 hand guard even came with a short Magpul M-Lok picatinny rail that I mounted under the front of my barrel for an accessory. I don’t have much use for the forward sling swivel under the barrel, since it doesn’t really swivel...it’s affixed in place with thread lock, but it can be removed and any M-Lok sling swivel. It would have been nicer to have a QD swivel hole in place of the protruded threaded-button style. Although, it’s not a game changer for me. My next addition will be the XS Pic rail that bolts to the factory scope holes.

Quality fit and finish.
Excellent quality, fit and finish are nearly perfect. Easily installed for a rigid, rattle-free end result. Slender profile rests easily in non-firing hand. Nice, modest rifle modification that doesn’t look like a tactical store threw up on your rifle.

Game changer
i was a nonbeliever for the longest time on adding an Mlok rail to my marlin.
This was totally worth it. the feel is actually better than the standard furniture and feels a bit lighter.

Sweet hand guard
Really love this. I put it on a marlin 336 dark. This paired with a new buttstock, and thread a can on the end, and I’ve got the coolest space cowboy rifle on the planet. This rifle turns heads at the range and makes me have to talk to people since they can’t stay away from it.

Don’t think twice
Worth every penny. Solid build quality, great looking and functional. This is the perfect addition to personalize your level action with the added benefit of endless m-lok capabilities. Extremely easy installation and Midwest industries supplies everything you need down to the locktite! This one is a no brainer, great product.
