I own three of these QD mounts and the mount make it easy to change optics on different platforms and not having to find the proper Torx wrench to change the mount. Also I can remove the QD mount with ease when cleaning the guns. I never loose zero with these mounts. The quality of the Mid-West mount is very good.

This quick-detach optic mount is evidently designed specifically for ACOG-Mini optics, the Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrism has the same mounting surface design, so it works the same as an ACOG-Mini.
When you get this thing, read the directions. They're brief, and they might seem a little cryptic at first with the way it talks about how tightly you should adjust it, but apply some common sense so you don't overtighten it. Seriously, when you get it right, it's pretty obvious. If it doesn't seem completely obvious, you're not there yet.
Use the hardware (screws) that came with your optic to attach it to the QD mount, then adjust the mount to the rail.
That's pretty much all there is to it. It's the easiest scope mounting I've ever had the pleasure to experience. Make sure you slide it in your preferred rail slot so that it's backed up against the slot every time you place it on the rail to ensure you get the same lock-up for your optic's alignment every time. Because of the way the mount adjustment works, you don't even need Loctite on the QD mount itself; all you might need that for is mounting the optic on the QD mount.
Pros:
- light
- Holds zero
- Small
- Strong
- Easy
Best Used for:
- QD
- Picatinny
- ACOG-mini
- SLx MicroPrism

A little pricey but its either this or buy an EXPS model. Seems extremely durable and locks up tight once adjusted properly. I haven't had it out to the range yet to see if it holds zero but judging by the build quality i don't see it having a problem. Some say it's ugly. Well, are we concerned about looks or functionality. I'm not looking to win any beauty contests with my gear.

I've always heard great things about Midwest Industries and wanted to take a moment to comment on this mount. I have an ACOG TA45c optic, and while NOT listed as compatible on the website or the product package, I can happily confirm the TA45 fits perfectly with this mount. (roughly 1 and 3/4" between the center of the two screws).
The factory Trijicon TA60 is the mount I am replacing and using this Midwest Mini QD mount. The factory TA60 from Trijicon is a great mount with two big, chunky, colt-style thumb screws, but candidly it's just BIG and heavy. I gave my Sig MCX Canebrake SBR a big facelift and this is one of the finishing touches. It's sleek, small, lightweight, unassuming. Comes with two identical screws in a small bag, very well packaged with GREAT instructions. A touch of Blue Locktite and torqued to just under 50 inch-pounds, and for me, it's good to go. EASY to adjust the QD lever tightness by hand if you have to.
Nice mount, great fit and finish, nice QD lever. Candidly this is a primarily weight reduction and cosmetic enhancement to my rifle, I can't speak to re-zeroing, but I feel as comfortable with this QD mount as I do the Trijicon TA60 factory two-thumb-screw tank mount. Well done Midwest and OP.

I bought this to make my Primary Arms SLX micro prism QD since I like it to sit higher than buis will allow any sort of witness. I have two other MWI QD mounts for other optics and really like the design of the lever/lock system. This unit is the same, extremely solid lockup and the lever will NOT come loose until you absolutely want it to. After swapping from a fixed mount, it was already almost spot on which says something about its precision alignment already. After multiple trials of removal and reconnection its proven repeatability is well within what I am capable of shooting with 1x optic. You will not be disappointed, built like a tank and worth every penny.
Using the spacer for the SLX I did need to get longer screws but a minor inconvenience and not the product's fault, merely a symptom of my particular application.
Pros:
- Perfect locking system
- Precise alignment tolerances
Best Used for:
- QD for anything with ACOG mini footprint

Bought this for an Slx 1x and it puts it at a perfect absolute cowitness height. This works great because I wanted to be able to run a magnifier but as far as I could tell most of the other options for QD mounts would probably leave the optic at an oddball height. Once set the lever is fairly tight (if I loosen it one click it'll slide back-and-forth), but this is fine since I'm not planning on taking my scope off too often (it'll probably get easier to flip as it wears in). Otherwise this mount is built like a tank.

I bought one of these since I like to run QD optics in order to swap or remove to use irons. I am running a Primary Arms 1x Micro Prism on this QD mount and it is fantastic. The build quality is outstanding and the QD lever mechanism holds fast and is very easy to use. I highly recommend!
