Ive used this scope on my .223 Remington 700 and it can easily get me good groupings at 200 yards +. Adjustment knobs are solid and easy to use, reticent is comfortable and the mil dots are helpful. Not to mention the scope looks really cool. A great purchase.

I spent less than five hundred dollars. For each of my five Rifles that needed new scopes. I already have two TRS-1’s and they work very well for me. If you are looking for a good starter scope it’s the Best Buy For The Money.

The scope is not bad for the price. It should be used more for target shooting because the scope is very heavy. However, the optics are as good as expected for the price. If you are trying to build a light weight rifle, this is not your scope. Leopold make the same power and objective size scope with an illuminate reticle that weights a lot less. however, you will pay a little bit more. The scope is great for a target rifle.

One thing I needed to added to previous reviews. These Millett scopes have large MOA/MIL capacity, The TRS-1 has 100 MOA and the LRS has 140. So for the MIL/MIL scope that means there is 5.5 Mils on the Turret but you can measure around five times or 29 mils of elevation. The indicator at the bottom of the turret reports the revolutions. This means that if you are going to shoot 1,000 yards with a 300 yard zero for 308W 168 SMK, your MIL come up is 9.7 MILs, that is once around and 4.2MILs more. The scope has a ten MIL reticle system to the bar so you could just use 9.7 dots on the reticle, but beyond 1,000 yards your come up requires the larger wrap around especially if you use a shorter zero. This is one of the product strengths.

This is the best price performance scope out there IMHO. You look over the eye piece and there before you is all the scope dope clearly visible. Diopter, parallax focus with range indicated, windage, elevation, zoom, and illumination settings. Then you look through the eye piece and there is that clear crisp image of the target area with one of the best finely etched laid out MILDOT bar reticles. This is a precise tool. They say that since Bushnell bought out Millett that they are made in china, well it is reported that Millett made them in Taiwan not the same. The illuminator actually has a NVG setting. It has marks on the elevation turret to indicted the number of times you have turned it all the way around for those long shots. This TRS-1 is ideally matched to my short action Remington, I have had the LRS on a Magnum for years performing as expected. Noticed that the Millett 6 screw rings are no longer available, they work great, they still had them in stock when I got this TRS. If this one passes the endurance test for the next couple of weeks it will be a keeper.

I'm getting up in yrs but after USMC sniper training in the '80s and a full career in Federal Law Enforcement, coupled with shooting rifles since I was 12, this is one of the best tactical scopes I've ever run across. Took some lookin, but finally found it. Turret dials are idiot proof as well as the focus and parallax adjustments, and I'm easily hitting targets at 800 to 1000 yrds with my 338 Lapua Mag.

They say you get what you pay for but this time it was a whole lot more than what I paid for. The glass is as clear as a high dollar scope. I had no trouble in installation or sight in. With what you get with this scope it is well worth the price. I have not shot match ammo yet but with practice ammo I was able to get 1/4 moa so I am very pleased.

I purchased this scope for one of my AR's The intent was to use it for varmint shooting as my custom AR is is very accurate. I had a gunsmith mount & bore sight it. I took it to the range. With the elevation max'ed out and the windage all the way right, at 100 yards, it shot 2 to 3 feet left and 6 to 8 feel low!! I have sent it back for repair/replacement. While I have a couple of other Millett rifle scopes that work fine, I won't buy another! For the money, I'll buy one I know will work!

I ordered this and the LRS (Long-range Scope). This is the second Tactical Scope by Millett for me and I will purchase more. The LRS is huge! No doubt about it. It needs to go on a Long-range or dedicated varmint gun. I placed one of the TRS or Tactical Model on an AR and love it. It is easy to zero and Holds there. Repeatability is not an issue. I just purchased a second one for a 25-06 in 700 BDL and expect to perform as well as the first. I live in Ohio and come from PA so weather is an issue, which these handle well! Cold, hot, wet or dry!
Pros:
- Functions exactly as described
- AFFORDABILITY
- long distance

Easy to use, love the illuminated bars! Great scope for your long rifle. Very well built and sturdy. For all the different scopes out there this one does what a lot of the other expensive ones out there can do.
